My daughter has been waking up 3-4 times a night for the past few days, and tonight I noticed her diaper rash was getting worse (so I'm assuming that's what waking her up.) Is there anything I can do to help sooth the rash throughout the night to help her sleep? I'm assuming that when she wakes up it is from wetting her diaper, and bothering the sores. Also, I think she is teething too. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi all,

Could my milk supply be slowing down? My baby just turned 5 weeks old. I have been feeding on demand and feeding times have been somewhat erratic - sometimes as little as two hours between, sometimes as much as five hours between.
I had a 'fast letdown' and was pumping about an ounce of milk off before starting to feed her to avoid 'flooding' her. Also, last weekend I started pumping for a bottle. My husband now gives her a bottle once a day.
I've noticed my breasts feel less full in the past couple days and I can't get as much when I pump. I'm worried I've messed up my supply by not feeding at exact times and/or by pumping and skipping that feeding each day when she eats off the bottle instead?

He is about to turn 1 at the end of the month. We been teaching him to roll a ball back and forth then he started throwing it. So we stopped playing that game last month. Since then he has still been throwing things. I raised my voice a little saying "bad bad baby!" even gave him a little spank (not that hard) and he screamed his head off or he would give me the most heart wrenching quivering lip with the little sad face. Now when I walk away to go to the bathroom he throws himself on the floor with his face down crying. Even if I just start to walk away!

What do I do ?!!?!? Im a stay at home mom. We don't go out often. I'd like him to be nicer to people too. He cries if someone stares and says he is cute....

what kind of symptoms do we look for in a baby, if he gets worse. what are the long term effects of this problem. I just assumed he was colicy, because he is sooo fussy, could it be pain from the kidney instead?

I don't know if anything like this exists but I think it would be an awesome idea!
So here is how I thought of it...
I was heading over to my Mom's and my little one was asleep in her car seat. Now that the weather is colder and it was 2 degrees Celsius outside I had to put her in her snowsuit thing. Which means actually picking her up and dressing her in it, which of course woke her up!
Then I thought if only there was something that is like half a snowsuit? Something that only covered the front of her- arms, legs, belly. Then I wouldn't have to pick her up, I could just slip it on the front of her and buckle her in, throw a blanket over her and she could still be sleeping!
Does anyone know if something like this exists?
If not I am considering making one for her!

My parents bought my daughter the rainforest jumperoo tonight. She hasn't gotten to get it in yet. I was just wondering how all your kids liked it.

My son is 4 months old and I got the little birth certificate they send home with you from the hospital. (the one that says, baby ____ was born at ____ Hospital on ____)
But I haven't actually gotten his real one in the mail yet (the one that says mothers name, maiden name, fathers name, etc.)
Should I have received that in the mail by now? Or do I have to call the hospital and get it?

I'm a first time mummy and from what i have see and learn from the elder, 6 months old baby will be given rice cereals (usually from nestle - www.nestle.com.my) and porridge when they are more older (around 7 to 8 months). It's a common thing in malaysia.

For me, i feel the food is very dull and i'm looking for some food like pumpkin puree (what i've read in the nutrition food book). I feel baby will be more excited to feel different kind of taste.

My baby is now 2 months old but i would like to learn how to cook/made the food in advance so that once he can start weaning i won't have trouble cooking for him ^^.

Thanks.

I am really surprised that when my man has to dress the baby, well pretty much every day, he always matches and looks well put together. Does your man do the same?

My sister wants to know. She will have her baby on Tues. and doesn't know where to get one of those tiny pink bows that all baby girls wear in their newborn photos. Strange question, right? But we just have boys so far so I don't know what to tell her! lol thanks.

Ok, my son will be 4 months old on Wednesday, and he's doing this new thing where he takes his blanket and likes to put it over his face while he sucks his thumb ..
He mostly does it while he's in his swing.
I have always been so worried about him soffocating that I would always make sure he was tucked in very well (where he was unable to untuck himself and cover his face).
Well, now he has enough upper body strength that he is untucking himself and putting the blanket over his face.
I have somewhat out smarted him by tucking him tightly in .. and then giving him a small cloth diaper to cuddle, and he puts that over his face while he sucks his thumb .. (it's a lot less material than a baby blanket! .. so I figure there is less chance of him causing any harm)
My question is:
When can I stop worrying about him suffocating himself with the blanket?? At what age do they become coordinated enough that I don't have to stress about the blanket being next to his face??

We are in the middle of being approved for new insurance, and wont be approved for a month, and my son needs his 2 month shots next Wednesday, so were going to pay out of pocket for them... how much do they normally cost for all of them? I know there is a total of 6 shots and our Ped. charges $140 for just walking into the dr. office....
