other than Tylenol and running a humidifier. Also suggested saline drops, but I wondered with those, do I just put a couple of drops in each nostril, or how do I do that? I know its probably a stupid question but I wasnt sure...thanks!

Im preganant and have a fair while to go yet. I'll be 16 when the baby is born ( yes i know.. young, but damage is done now and i have to deal with it ) I want the best for my child so im hoping to breast feed. But i was wondering does it hurt, i've heard that it does and that it is uncomfortable. Could you please tell me if that is only in some cases or does it actually hurt?

I have a 6 wk old and she decides to be awake starting anywhere from 11pm to 1am and then won't sleep until 4 or 5am. So here I am getting no sleep and when I do I can't get myself to get up for anything but feeding her until 1 or 2pm. I am a stay at home mom for right now so it's not like I have to wake up for anything but it is sooOOOooo tiring and I personally LIKE being awake during the day. I've tried adjusting her schedule and it's really hit or miss with this. Every so often we'll get a night that she decides to sleep between feedings and we would have done NOTHING different that day. HELP! It's wearing on my nerves more than anything. Not only am I not working but I feel so lazy and I feel like I'm missing out on the day because I sleep until the afternoon. I feel so stressed out when I'm dealing with her wanting to stay up in the early morning. And then she decides to cry between 3 an 5am. so that makes it worse...

Have you ever taken your baby to Sears portrait studio? What did you think of them? Do they have good props? I am taking my 2.5 month old there on Monday for photos. Thanks.

Then how did they 'latch on' to a bottle?

I have never bottle-fed a baby nor seen somebody bottle-feeding save from a distance; I may be missing something here.

There're a tonne of women here who say 'My baby wouldn't latch on, so I had to bottle-feed,' and I'm confused -- I would assume not latching on = very sick baby, or something, who would have trouble taking milk from a bottle, too. Why/how when a baby has trouble feeding the way a baby generally knows how to feed, does an artificial nipple work?

I used to sing to my son while I was pregnant. Always the same song and I did it every day. Well he's two weeks old today and he was fussy yesterday so I thought I would sing him that song. He calmed right down and went to sleep. Does he remember this song or is it just my voice that soothes him?

I am bottle feeding my newborn.Through my pregnancy I had planned on breastfeeding.I read all about it and felt certain I would breastfeed.Well the night my daughter was born I was sent to postpartum about an hour after I gave birth. She came out of me hungry. (She was literally rooting 5 minutes after she was born!!) But instead of getting a half decent nurse, I got Broom Hilda! This nasty, wicked woman came into my room and started off by literally shoving my baby onto my breast.I was shocked and very angry.Everything I'd read said NEVER to force a baby onto the breast. The nurse got mad and was a real b**ch to me. Right then I said to myself, screw breastfeeding.I demanded the nurse get me a bottle and leave me and my baby alone. My baby was crying and hungry and I was determined to feed her. I do feel some regret about not breastfeeding but she is thriving on the bottle. What I would like to know is why so many people look down on bottle-feeding?My child is healthy and nourished.

How shocking is this a baby not even year old was murderd by its parents by being punched in the stomach,The parent were drug users and even when the baby was born they found tracys of drugs in its urine. The crunch is they got 5 years what are the judges thinking off.In my opinion the sociel services that was dealing with this case should also be punished.Any child born to drug users should be put into care for its own protection.Whats your thoughts.

I have a problem with my baby that is allergic to certain brands of pampers that has dye in the pamper, I tried using huggies but that brand has dye around the outside of the pamper and my baby broke out in a big rash, I've tried a couple of no name pampers that worked for my other children who were also allergic to pampers, the pamper that worked for them (a Superstore brand President's choice) They were majorly allergic to Pampers and Huggies I had the hardest time finding a pamper that worked for them, but now with my third child who is 6 months old I am having a hard time finding a pamper that works for him I just tried Pampers Swaddlers on him which is working because there is no dye at all around the legs or any area that touches the skin, but the problem is Swaddlers only goes up to size 2, I don't know of any other brand that is over size two that doesn't have any dye around the legs. I've tried the president's choice on him and he is really allergic to it?? Any suggestions??

I'm 33 and just had my first child in June. A beautiful baby boy. One of the main reasons I waited so long to have kids is that all I ever heard growing up and in my 20's was how hard having kids was. Taking them everywhere with you, the crying, and the fact that your life was no longer yours and free to do as you please. Granted, my life has changed but not nearly as dramatic as I expected and taking care of my son seems natural and wonderful. How about you?
