I wasn't happy with my baby's Sears photos. I took my daughter for her first portraits when she was 4 months old, The photographer told me that there wasn't much that they could do with her as she wasn't sitting up on her own yet. They basically sat her in a little chair type thing with a drape over it , which helped to support her. Anyway, she rushed through the pictures and my daughter wasn't postioned straight, they never bothered to adjust her so now she looks all lopsided in those pics. I was not impressed. And they never offered to use any props. Maybe some Sears portrait studios are better than others and I just got unlucky with a bad photographer, but I still wouldn't recommend them!

My sister used to be the head photographer for her studio at Sears portrait studio and now she is a district manager for the photo studios in her area. She would of course tell you yes and I would too because I've seen her work and she has shown me all the adorable props.

JCPenney is better, in my opinion. Check out the website of Sears and JCPenney and you'll find their portrait studio site and you can look at backgrounds, props, greeting card options etc. At least they do it for JCPenney, not certain for Sears, but I can't imagine why they wouldn't...
JCPenney also has a great "club member" thing that allows you to get out of sitting fees for 3yrs, money off orders of $90, free 8x10, free online viewing thing and some other stuff... can't remember it all.

I took my daughter there and was disappointed to find that they used the same props from when I was that young in the early 80's...and they weren't that good.
I LOVE Picture People, and the last time we took her to JC Penneys and the pics came out really really cute.
Sign up for Pic People online, they will email you coupons, and if you join their club you get some really good deals...plus you get the photos in an hour.

Too expensive for what you get. I spent almost $50 and only got a few pics. I have seen better pics at Walmart for $6.88 per pose and you get like 40 pics, and you can get 2-3 more poses for A LOT cheaper than Sears or Penny's.

I am a regular at JC Penny and I really don't care for how those places basically have teenagers running hte place or people who don't want to be there. they never have time for you and never any imagination. I like Kiddie Kandeds best and you get your photos while you wait.
