How long has he had these symptoms?

I would suggest getting a second opinion.

When my son was a year old he got a "bad cold" according to the doc. It just wouldn't go away. After three different doctors, we found he had pnuemonia which got worse because it hadn't been treated.

I'm not saying your son has pnuemonia, but you should take him to a different doc and make them run tests and find out what's wrong. Colds don't cause white dots on his tongue or roof of his mouth.

It could be thrush - which is NOT treated with antibiotics - in fact antibiotics can encourage the growth of yeast. Thrush alone usually passes on its own. It could also be strep. I would ask the doc for a throat culture. He could be having trouble pooping if he is running a fever and not drinking enough water. It makes their poop hard and it's hard to push out.

Sounds like a yeast infection-- not uncommon, but it can be treated with antibiotics I believe. My son (10 months) has never had one, but my niece and nephew used to get them all the time from nursing. My son weaned at 4 months.

The white spots sound like oral thrush. Oral thrush is a yeast infection that presents as creamy white spots on the tongue, inner cheeks and sometimes on the roof of the mouth, tonsils and gums. He may need anti-fungal medication to get it to go away, and I suggest you seek a second doctors opinion about it.

whilst maximum Drs will say to no longer provide dairy till 12 months previous i understand my boys have been eating the yobaby organic and organic yogurt at 9 months previous and the Dr gave the ok by using fact they weren't taking formulation (hated it) and did no longer take plenty milk or pediasure so as that they necessary the calcium and supplementations in it. They did in simple terms effective with it. as long as your son isn't showing any signs and indications of lactose intolerance or milk hypersensitivity you will desire to be happy with it. do no longer do those with fruit in it although considering the fact it somewhat is in fact in simple terms sugar. it somewhat is ultimate to get user-friendly vanilla yogurt (organic and organic is ultimate) and combine the fruit in your self (sparkling) in case you opt for for fruit flavored.

Get a second opinion, another doctor, urgent care facility whatever is available to you.. If your not satisfied with your Dr. opinion always seek a second opinion.

I would call the dr. back and just tell him that you want your baby seen. This way you will feel better, and if there is something wrong he will be able to tell you.
