I don't really understand your question, but if you are wondering why people have weird surnames, well most surnames are hundreds of years old, and many of them are not from english. The name "Smith" is probably very weird sounding to someone where they don't speak english.

If you are wondering why people make fun of the name "Lazier" well it also means "more lazy". People like making fun of other people. That is the way things are.

You can't really do much about your surname. Its the one your father usually has, that his father had and his father had and his father had....... and thereby gave to you. That's how it works in a lot of cultures. You can change it when you get older, I guess. Or if you are female, marry a better name.

Surnames are quite old. They usually hold some sort of meaning. My last name means "loyal to the king". It first appeared at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

If you have a weird first name, then your parents are to blame.

The surnames go way back in generations .. it's not like the parents just put them on the birth certificate.
Some people probably think "Lincoln" is a "weird" name .. but he got his face on the penny!
