...is that early? He is my first and he seems to have skipped the crawling stage. He did the army crawl but never really crawled on his knees. Are there other 9 month olds out there that are already walking?

only for about 30 min to an hour ever night between the times 9-11 pm. he hardly cries at all during the day tho. only for a couple of minutes before we feed or change him. so why does he cry around the same time almost every night? he seems to be getting all the gas out pretty well and i don't think it's colic. what could it be and how can i make him feel better? the crying makes me feel horrible :(

(he'll be 3 months old on the 20th)

Last week my 6 month old baby girl started to leak blood from her nipple during her 6 month check-up at the dr's. I asked my dr if this is normal and she said it was but that I should keep an eye on it and she'll see her for a follow up in a few weeks. I've never heard of this and it still kinda freaks me out as her nipple is still bleeding. There's not alot of blood but little spots, some as big as a pea. My friend who's in nursing school told me it's probably a surge of hormones. I was on the pill when I got pregnant and continued for at least 2 months before finding out that I was which I then stopped. Now I know this probably sounds like a stupid question but could this be the reason why she's leaking blood?

Im not sure whether hes upset because its coming out to fast or its empty or hes just cranky, but he sucks the nipple and gums at it and pulls it with his gums as if hes biting and get very irritated, why is this?

She is 9 1/2 months. She can feed herself some finger foods, but I have been spoon feeding her and haven't given her the spoon to try herself yet. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't know what to do with it yet and food would end up everywhere but in her mouth....

1. Logically, fresh is better than frozen right?
2. Can frozen breast milk be stored together in the same fridge as vegetables?
3. Shouldnt frozen breast milk be boiled properly before the baby consumes it?

How much should my 10 week old be eating in one sitting? Right now she eats around 4 ounces (sometimes less) every 3 hours. Is that a normal amt and how long should I be feeding her on a 3 hour regimin?

I have a newborn who is just 3 days old. Today she has been wanting to eat constantly , basically all day. I haven't stopped feeding her. Every time I feed her she sucks her hands like she is still hungry. Do you think that when she feeds nothing comes out, because maybe she is only sucking the nipple and not latching on right? I don't know why she is eating so much today.

There's so many girls I know that are my age and have recently had babies. Out of about 5, I only know 1 that is breastfeeding. The others said they 'tried, but it just didn't work'. There were so many excuses...'He kept spitting up' was one. My daughter is gaining weight fine on breastmilk and spits up all the time!

Another thing one said was 'You have to eat healthy in order for the breastmilk to be any good, and I didn't feel like doing all that.' That's not even true...I don't understand why they feel that it's necessary to make up excuses that are obviously not valid.

it has been mostly fine until last night and all day today when suddenly he doesnt seem to be getting enough milk. My nipples are getting very sore even though i am using Kamillosan nipple ointment.

Is this a temporary problem - Will my milk yield eventually increase to meet the increase in demand or do you think this might be a permanent problem which might mean he needs a top-up of formula?

He was a fairly large baby , birth weight of 8 pounds 2

I have noticed lately that my son has started to drool incredibly more than he ever has before and on top of that when I look at his front bottom gums there are these two things that seem to be coming through his gums. I rubbed my finger across them and can feel a hard substance. I am a first time mom so I dont know if he is starting to teeth or not. He is only nine weeks old so he is still very young. The thing is they are not coming out of the top of his gums. Its more like the bottom/middle part.

I can't honestly say whether I am bragging or asking a question! lol My seven week old baby has slept all night long since the day i brought her from the hospital. i usually have to wake her up to eat, (she nurses) she rarely cries...only if she is hungry or wet. she has been smiling and cooing for a good month now, so i guess my question is do some babies just act this way? lol is it becasue she is a girl and the other kids are boys? my daughter is gaining weight fast, she is not sick or anything, but how can she be so comfy all the time. my first had colic terrible, the second was pretty good but ate all day and all night. she sleeps the same whether she sleeps in bed with me or by herself in the crib.

She's 4 weeks old and has thrush. I know pumping doesn't cure thrush, but it's been helping lower my pain level. Until we find something that makes the thrush go away (already tried gentian violet and nystatin) I plan on pumping. This could be a couple weeks maybe? Will she want to breastfeed again after being away from it for that long?
