I can't honestly say whether I am bragging or asking a question! lol My seven week old baby has slept all night long since the day i brought her from the hospital. i usually have to wake her up to eat, (she nurses) she rarely cries...only if she is hungry or wet. she has been smiling and cooing for a good month now, so i guess my question is do some babies just act this way? lol is it becasue she is a girl and the other kids are boys? my daughter is gaining weight fast, she is not sick or anything, but how can she be so comfy all the time. my first had colic terrible, the second was pretty good but ate all day and all night. she sleeps the same whether she sleeps in bed with me or by herself in the crib.

She sounds like mine, it's weird isn't it?!

People come up to me all the time and comment on 'what a happy baby" and 'the happiest baby they've ever seen" and I can only say, "I know".
She's my third and I've never had an UNhappy child, but this one wakes up giggling! She's six months now and has been like this since birth, also sleeps twelve hours at night and very regular naps- a 'self-regulated' little thing!
My concern, honestly, was 'is she too good to be TRUE'? I mean, I've not had ONE 'sleepless night" since she was born. My last one took a YEAR to sleep through the night. Well, I know what you mean, is it bragging or is it a question. it has been suggested to me that by the third child a mother is just more relaxed and the baby follows suit, but honestly she was just BORN calm and content, I think she makes me calm and not vice versa.

Let's just say, the third time really does seem to be the charm in both of our cases. Congratulations! It looks like you know how it goes the other way, too! (#2 had colic in my case as well. I was terrified of going through that again this time!) Congrats again! Let's hope they stay like this.

Sounds like you got blessed with an easy going baby. Hope that persists throughout the terrible twos for you! My guy is pretty good too, only wakes a couple times a night to eat (he sleeps for almost 12 hours so I don't mind feeding him a couple times during that stretch as he eats and goes right back to sleep). He's been smiling since 3 weeks, laughing since 5 and now at almost 14 weeks he giggles, babbles, coos and today he learned how to make these really annoying short piercing screams. As you can guess, he absolutely loves making this new sound LOL.

Don't get too comfortable, as it's a girl she's probably saving up all your sleepless nights until she is a teenager :P

you lucky thing - its the luck of the draw! you know - you've had the other kind. So count your blessings especially as she is the third and you have so much other stuff to get on with.
But I do think you get less stressed as you have more babies and they pick up on it. My 1st was pretty good but would'nt sleep alone or in her cot for ages. The 2nd totally different! It was my fault I nursed the 1st to sleep and tried to put her down - big mistake.
I was to busy with the 2nd for that with a toddler that she knew nothing else but to go to sleep when I put her in her cot!
The 3rd was a breeze until it came to leaving me to go to school - he was a nightmare unlike to two girls who could'nt wait to be rid of me!! lol

enjoy it while it last!!! Im not saying that with your daughter it wont last but my son was like this the first 2 -3 months ..And has been cranky ever since.he is 5 months..in the last 2 months i can count on 1 hand how many times he has slept completely through the night. All babies are not alike, true but just be prepared just in case..

As you have now experienced, babies are all different. They are all born with their own personalities and you have an easy going baby. She is content and she is happy. She is normal!
I had one of each, my first child was fussy and didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 years old. My second was like your daughter, he is happy and so happy go lucky!
Congrats!

Ugh yet another ignorant hockey fan. i like the penguins so i like Crosby, i'm no longer a large fan of him yet he's cool and between the wonderful interior the sport. i do no longer care if human beings like him or no longer yet he a minimum of merits some appreciate. "Hockey followers" such as you may get your head out of your butt and understand that there would be gifted gamers on communities different than your fashionable group. it relatively is questions like this that makes all of us look down on the guy asking the question and speak to them an immature newborn. And as for "obese fag" he's neither. he's somewhat in fantastic condition and judging by employing your point of adulthood you're in all probability employing fag basically as an insult yet he's no longer gay the two.

Lol, just think that you are bragging and enjoy it!!! But if this isnt your first child you should know not to wake her up for a feed, let the child sleep as long as she likes!!

Some babies are like this....sleepy and quiet. You very lucky as you prbably already know since your first had colic. You better knock on wood though! You never know, things can change.

Enjoy it for now. My friend's baby was like this until she started teething and THEN she was up several times during the night.
