I was honestly curious why anyone would choose not to have their son circumcised. I feel that it is very unattractive not to be and that men who are not circumcised will later be ridiculed by their peers. So why would a parent choose not to have their son circumcised and instead subject them to ridicule?

I honestly feel it should be done purely for cosmetic reasons to every male baby boy born.

What are your guys thoughts on circumcision

Its a silly thing really but would like advise/opinions please. We (my partner and my 6 month old baby) are moving closer to family mext month. Partners family own a big house with a 2 bed barn conversion which we shall be living in. Im worried that the upheaval will unsettle baby a bit so plan to make her room up asap so she has some familiar surroundings. However, there currently is 32 single beds in there, which means there won't be a lot of room for her stuff. We want to move them out to the garage (which has 2 levels and is huge). However, my father-in-laws girlfriend who lives in the main house is insisting they stay, as she wants us to put up her two grown up daughters over xmas. Im quite annoyed at this, one because it will be our house whilst we are livin in it and also because it might unsettle my baby, to have to move out of the room. So my questions are 1) do you think she would be unsettled (she is my first) and 2) do you think i have the right to over-rule this woman

I want to have my 9 1/2 month son completely weaned before his first birthday, but I am not at all interested in using commercial formula. I've had friends who weaned their babies using yogurt or soy milk, but I wanted to know if anyone else had done this. Thanks!

since my baby was born i have always supplemented her with formula b/c she would always be fussy after breastfeeding. She is now 8 months and I have been keeping the same routine. Breastfeed first then formula feed. I'm just afraid of my milk drying up before she turns 1. should I even bother trying to increase my milk supply? and do you think its still even possible to breastfeed 100% after 8 months of giving birth?

I guess they're not the ones who have to clean up the mess.
Are they laughing at the baby or the person responsible for cleaning up?

It seems to me that a lot of people have failed to do a single stitch of research when it comes to vaccinating their NEWBORNS. I find it very sad that parents are too lazy to purchase a few books and do a little reading when the life of their infant is in their hands. People need to realize vaccinations have become a huge scam for money ... something that was once created to save lives is now ending them at a rapid rate... it's just sad. Why are people so stubborn to open their eyes to the truth? Why doesn't anyone want to see what's right in front of them? Can people not READ?

I use an everyday baby's lotion for my son. This works on keeping his skin soft, but there are some areas like his legs that stay dry. It was recommended that I use a thicker cream for that. What would be your suggestion?

I currently have a Silver Cross 3in one system, which I am not happy with, my daughter is only 10 weeks old. I am looking at the New Bugaboo Fly - what does anyone else think, it comes out beg of next year. I am looking for just a pushchair and not a pram, so am i right in saying it is the only bugaboo pushchair you can buy without the pram bit. Or may be the quinny, but not so sure on the three wheeler bit - isn't that a little dated?

In my native country... my parents and everyone else was told that when another girl (other than the mom) carries a newborn baby and they have thier period.. it will make the baby REAL sick! I seriously do not see any connections whatsoever and I don't believe this. My family thinks that I am nuts and I guess ignorant for not beliving this.

Like yestersday for instance.. my cousin gave birth and since I had my period everyone told me that I can't carry the baby.. I mean I knew they were going to say that being that I too was told that a girl with her period cannot not carry the baby when born.. but I told them that I don't believe it and it just doesn't make sense to me.. they all started coming up with excuses.. what do you think??? I just want to know FACTS!!!!

If a mother breast feeding her baby is unable to produce more milk, is it possible for another woman to be able to breast feed this child, even though she is not currently breast feeding.

My daughter is 5 days old.
alittle info first---
I have been producing ALOT of milk (im pumping 4oz in about 10 minutes time because my breasts are so engorged) and my breasts are constantly dripping milk and soaking breast pads-
i nurse my daughter often-usually she wakes on her own to feed but she usually only feeds for 5-10 minutes at a time and then will drift off to sleep and wake up in about an hour sometimes 2 hours to feed again....
im worried she isnt getting enough milk in the short 5-10 minutes she sucks at my breast even though i know im producing alot of milk...is this adequate time to feed at the breast?

Also--this is my first baby so im not quite sure what to expect in the diaper department.... she has been having about 4-6 poppy diapers a day, there yellow and really seedy and kinda stringy looking and watery-is this normal? How do you know if its diarrhea?

I am pregnant with my 3rd child. I am wanting to brestfeed, I have breastfeed my other kids but never used the freezer bags/or stored breast milk before. How does that work? I know they have certain breastmilk storage bags that you can buy, but how long can you store them before they expire (go bad), is it safe? How do you thaw out the milk? I would really apprecite info on this. With my other kids i always produced ALOT of milk but never stored it. And I want to breastfeed this baby as long as i can to help with formula cost etc. Also Cloth diapers. Are they good? What about with newborns? Do they leak? please info on this. I have never used them before but am really looking into it.

My son seems hungry a lot. He eats like every hour to 2 hours. I gave him a fingertip of baby food and he liked it. I'm wanting to give him rice cereal because it'll be easier on his stomach. Any sugestions or advice?

My 12 week old baby boy isn't gaining as much weight as he should. He is only gaining about 4 ounces a week. He's in the 10th percentile for weight, but the 90th for height. He's very long and skinny.

At first, we thought I didn't have enough milk, so I pumped constantly after nursing, went on Reglan, and nursed as much as possible. He still only gained 4 ounces a week.

Next my lacation consultant had me supplement with 4 ounces of formula a day in hopes of getting him to gain more. He's still only gaining 4 ounces a week.

What do I do? The pedetrician promotes breastfeeding, so that's good, but alot of people are telling me to go straight formula. I really don't want to though. We got in for another weight check next week. I hope they don't want me to supplement more formula.

He is a very active baby. He never stops moving, and only sleeps at night. He doesn't sleep during the day. Could he just be burning off all his calories?

I answered a Q earlier about breastfeeding in public. Some1 asked how other mothers do it. I wrote:

"I dont do it. I am going 2 one day bcuz I'l have 2 Im sure I'll end up having 2 for some reason, but 4 now I am home in time 4 her feeding, in the car or near a mommys rm or nursing rm. Im modest & its personal between my baby & I."

So I am still in public, just out of direct sight of others. I am modest & would rather have a quiet place 2 breastfeed like a mothers rm or be home by the time my baby is ready 2 eat. I believe it's a personal time 4 my baby & I 2 b alone. Of course if the situation arises 4 my baby 2 be fed in public bcuz I got caught out too long etc, I'm going 2 feed her or prepare by bringing pumped milk bcuz bottles r ok 2 have every once in awhile & I know it's my milk. I hope others aren't pressured in2 public feeding. It's a personal choice, to each their own :-)

So why do you suppose I would get "thumbs downed" Curious.

Since 9am (it's almost 9pm) my daughter has been screaming so hard she loses her breath almost non stop, only stops when shes wears herself out and when we went to the grocery store to get teething drops.
The past week she has been drooling like crazy and wants to ear my hand! The bottom gums are soft but where one of her top teeth would come in is a little harder.
after wearing a clean shirt for an hour last night it had drool soaked all the way down to her belly button.

weve tried tylenol, homopathic teething drops 6 (!!!!!) different teething rings, and a cold/frozen washcloth, little finger brush for her gums, cold water in a bottle, her hand (she cant really keep it up to her mouth) my hand ...EVERYTHING!!!

she has no fever and i already gave her gas drops so its not that. nothing will comfort her for more than a few seconds or minutes!
Is she teethng?
what can i do?
shes crying REAL tears! :(
