He should talk to a doctor. He may need to have a sleep study done. My mother used to snore very loudly and it turned out that she has Sleep Apnea. She stops breathing in her sleep! It's typically only for a second or two and she starts right back up, but it really affected her sleep. It's also dangerous if you have it and have some kind of medical procedure. She found out about it after she stopped breathing under anesthesia (did I spell that right? LOL). She started right back up as always, but it scared the heck out of the doctors and they made her go get checked out. She now has a little machine, I think it's called a C-Pap or something like that and it just blows air into your lungs so you can't stop breathing. She puts it on at night before bed and she sleeps so much better now and no more snoring.

This is actually a very common problem.

Often loud snoring is caused by obesity. He may need a CPAP machine. But they are bulky and the two people that I know that have them say they don't use them...Baby should not care about it, they will get used to it. Keep them trim and they shouldn't snore.

Think of it this way- the baby has been listening to it for 9 months. It will be perfectly fine with the noise.

I do agree with the other posters. Your husband needs to be looked after. Snoring is never a good sign- he could be overweight or have one of many health problems causing it.

Nothing shows you care about your child more then taking care of yourself.

The Baby will get used to the normal level of noise in its surroundings.
the worst thing people with new babies can do is keep everything quiet while the Baby sleeps.the baby will then wake up at the slightest noise.

My dear wife snored like a moose and had some apnea with it. (Sorry honey - luv ya...)

She now employs a CPAP machine and hasn't snored since.

Check with your doctor. It may be covered by insurance.
