Now is fine. Cheddar, Colby jack, mozzarella....you can buy those cheeses made by Kraft already cubed. When I first gave them to my son I cut each cube into 4 more cubes. Now that he is 11 months he just eats it whole.

At my son's 6 month checkup my doctor said that once he can eat babies 2nd foods without chocking he can start having small pieces of soft finger foods like cheese and bananas. I would probably start with a Cheddar or Swiss.

I would wait until a year. Some people will introduce sooner but many babies can be sensitive to dairy.

In our household we use a mild white cheddar cheese. What i like about it is that it does not have dyes in it. If you ever look on the package of orange cheeses, they're orange beause they have food colouring in it. And I definetley dont want to give food colouring to my baby. It's also available organic, which I find the organic cheeses taste a lot better and my little one loves them.

My son has been eating cheese for over 2 months, he's 9 months old.

I think he had colby first, mozzarella, feta is his favorite.

Not too much, especially if its his first dairy, work up to more than a few pieces.

You dont have to wait a year for any dairy, you just dont give it to them instead of formula until theyre a year. most nutritionists will advise you to start introducing it at 7-9 months, a few table spoons, or a few pieces at a time.

He can have cheese anytime. Start him off with a plain-jane variety like a mild or medium cheddar or swiss and stay away from unripened cheeses or the "moldy" cheeses. The best way to give it to them is grated. When you're grating cheese for dinner give him a few slices, it's great for their hand-eye coordination when trying to pick it up too.

I would wait until a year... because that is when they are typically allowed to have cow's milk. However, they sell baby yogurt. You might want to ask the doctor. Cheese can cause constipation if you aren't careful. I personally don't like cheese, so I haven't even thought of this one! LOL

All people are different. Around one year children can digest dairy. You could let him try it now and see how well he tolerates it. If all goes well, he is ready for it. If he had stomach discomfort wait another month or so and let him try it again.

He can have cheese now. I would start with chedder or swiss...but that's just me=) I would stay away from the blues or other soft cheeses, they could (even though it's doubtful) contain lysteria.

Probably by the time he can have milk or after 12 months old. Since both have lactose and sometimes it can give allergies or reactions. Ask your doctor just in case.
