I am scheduled to have my identical twin girls Monday, July 30th and I'm a little worried about their health. Chances are they will be in NICU, I will be 34 weeks and thats the longest the doctor is letting me go due to risk of intanglement from the umbillical cord and they are in the same sac. My question is how long do you think they will be in NICU and when you have visitors are they allowed to hold the babies being that they are in they incubator? I want to hear from people who have twins are have been through this experience with someone who has had them. Any advice would help!

My little cousin is gonna be 4 months on the 6th of Aug. What does a baby of that age do already because he rarely does anything. He has Down Syndrome but he is so floppy and just a lil Lazy he's already starting to look a little "slow" and wobbly and weak. his parents are in denial of this syndrome even though he was declared with this syndrome when he was born. I show him love no matter what and i play with him no matter what because i know this baby will need special attention and i accept him no matter what but im trying to help him out because when the nurse came over my aunts house to check out did the baby need any down syndrome services she said no as if he doesn't need any help and he does. He doesn't eat like a normal child. you gotta feed him gently and do extra things a baby can do easily and he is just so delicate and my aunt acts like he doesnt need any help and he does she only making it worse and im worried about him a lot! so please help. What do babies do at 4 months?

How old is she or he?
I KNOW the baby is sitting with you, that's obvious.
Unless your church has a nursery where you can drop the baby off, I am interested in knowing do you hold the baby in your lap, let the baby sit in a car seat, what?

I'm a SAHM. Both my girls (4 yr old and 6 month old) were up LOTS last night (nightmares for the big girl and lots of eating for the baby), and now they're napping. And I'm doing nothing. I've been nothing for over an hour. There's laundry that needs to be folded and other chores I could do, but I have no motivation. I know I'll regret not getting it done as soon as they wake up. Please tell me other moms take "do nothing time" once in awhile? I'm feeling like such a sloth. LOL

If you prefer a circumcised guy sexually does that most likely mean that you will circumcise your son?

I have this friend who worries me a bit about the way she puts her 7-month-old baby to bed. She is staying with me for a few days, so I've had the privelege of witnessing this many times now. She bundles the baby into a large throw-type blanket (not a baby blanket, and when I say "bundles" I mean that she puts the blanket completely over the baby's head) and lays her down to sleep on her stomach. Today I peeked in on the baby while she was sleeping, and all that was sticking out was the baby's little feet; her head was completely covered by the blanket (and she was sleeping on her tummy). Am I completely nuts, or is this a MAJOR accident waiting to happen? I have two kids myself and this seems to go against everything I've heard! I asked my friend if she was afraid the baby might suffocate, but she said she thought she could get out if need be. How can I tell her that this is not a good idea?

My little girl is 5 weeks today, I know I'm asking for a little much from such a young one, but I'd just like to know some different sleeping strategies. :)

Is it true every young married couple struggles with money? Will it get easier. He is 25 and just starting his job in law enforcement and I am 24 and managing a buisiness. We don't make much money around 2,800 take home. We always get our bills paid, but struggle at times. We are expecting our first baby this winter. I am having anxiety over this. Is this true for alot of other couples starting out?

how do i get "me" time when my twins are 4 months and never sleep for long

2007-07-27 20:30:54 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

I noticed that my 6 weeks old baby begins to sleep longer and MAYBE through the night. (I used the word MAYBE because I am worried that she would be hungry in the middle of the night since breastmilk is easy to be digested; so when she grunted, twisted and turned intensely, I would bring her out of her bassinette, while her eyes still closed, and fed her. I will try not to do so tonight. I will let her contiune sleeping to see if she would start sleeping through the night. However, I am concerned and wonder if she would be sleeping with hungry stomach?? (She used to be fed around every 2 or 3 hours at night). I don't feel good if she would close her eyes with hungry stomach. Thanks.

do u think i should feed my baby warm milk or room temp.(formula)? because i give him room temp. milk and my husband thinks i need to warm it up. because he says he'll like it better, not that he doesn't like it already and your probably wondering how its room temp. well i put the amount of water in the bottle then when hes ready to eat i add the formula.

I'm a SAHM, so our 5 month old is very attached to me and does fine when daddy is just holding or playing with her, but really wants me when it's time to eat (we're almost fully weaned) or when she's upset. So if my husband is trying to calm her down, I hover. I'm sure it upsets him, but I can't help it. Hearing her cry just breaks my heart, and I KNOW that she won't calm down until I'm holding her. Anyone else have this problem? How to handle? I feel terrible, but just can't stop myself!

My 11 month old constantly needs attention and would scream if you leave him alone with his toys, even if you remain in his visual field. I've invested in almost what seems like every toy under the sun and they are of no interest to him.

I just had my baby monday morning and I guess my milk just came in today. My breast were engorged since yesterday. The left one is easier for him to drink from and he even drained it some but the right one is still huge, hurts, and he is not able to take it as easy bc of the size I am guessing. I have a Gerber manual pump that I had bought and when I try to use it I just pump & pump and nothing comes out what so ever. I do not know what to do at this point. I am breast feeding him all day but in the morning I give him an enfamil bottle well my husband does bc I am so tired and soar at that point. I want to pump so he can feed him that but its just not working. Any help please?
