I have a closed packet of unused newborn diapers. I kept them since I want another one, but if it was open, I wouldn't have kept them.

Don't laugh at my answer and I'm not trolling or anything like that. I only make this suggestion because they are newborn size, any bigger and I would follow all the other suggestions you have gotten so far.

Have you considered taking off the tapes or tabs and using them as a pad during your period? I've always heard that your pads feel like a diaper and in this case you could honestly say that it is.

I really am serious here, like I said, anything other than a newborn and I don't think you could do it, but at least this would keep them from going to waste. You have to admit, they are absorbent and they have those nice gussets that keep them from leaking. They couldn't be much bigger than a pad with wings.

Give it a try, you might be surprised.

Good luck.

put them in a ziplock freezerbag and donate them to the next pregnant person you know. They'll get used. or keep them on hand if you have people in your circle (family/friends) who will be in your position one day. free diapers are never turned down.

Donate them to a battered women's shelter. Or see if the Salvation Army or Goodwill has a use for them. All of these options guarantee that someone who really needs them, gets them.

Packed them up, and gave them to a charity, along with other stuff I accumulated.
Now that I'm a freecycle member, I would offer them on there.

Give them to your local daycare or another women you know of that has a newborn.

I gave all of my leftovers of smaller sizes to my friend. You can also donate them to your local pregnancy support organization, or post them up on Craigs List or Freecycle.

I saved one (for each baby) in my sons' keepsake box. You will be amazed when the baby is bigger the size of diapers you used to use!

The rest I saved and gave to my SIL when she had her baby.
