Because they don't know how to walk away and calm down. It breaks my heart when I see stories on the news like that. Why can't they just pick the baby up, cuddle them or try to distract them to help them stop crying. I use to work in a daycare and if the baby was fussy, I stepped outside with him. The fresh air, outside noises and possibly other children on the playground distracted him and he stopped crying. People just lose their temper and take it out on the baby.

We just had a story about a boyfriend who punched his girlfriend's 3 month old baby in the chest and it died. He did that out of frustration after getting into a fight with the girlfriend. The girlfriend walked outside to calm down and when she went back in the boyfriend was gone, the baby was having a hard time breathing. The baby died and they said it had broken ribs.

I would have to say that most women part is wrong because there are more then a few babies born these days. I would have to say that women that do do that are either suffering from post partum depression or there is something wrong with them in the head. Some women snap and can't take the baby crying anymore and they don't know what to do and they don't think and its a shame that you think most women have this problem because they don't its the sick ones that do and I think that they should be put on death row and have their reproduction organs cut out so that they can't ever do it again.

Because they are sick. As for the excuse of post pardom depression that's a crock. I have known many women who have suffered from this and did not kill their children. And as for most women doing that no maost women seek help or have cooping skills. Is is not that hard to be a mother. And if it is to them then they have a choice. They can bring the child to the state or even most states have a law of protection where you can bring your baby to a hospital or police station or fire station and they will bring the baby to the state. With many as people in the world that can not have a baby and would give anything to have one there is no reason to kill a baby because your depressed.

Because some woman suffer from postpartum psychosis which is far more severe then postpartum depression. And then some woman are just sick individuals that were messed up before they had kids. But to say "most" woman having problems with newborns, is a little of an exaggeration don't you think.

You should rephrase that cause "MOST" women don't do that.I think at one time or another we all get upset. But we all don't run out and kill our babies. She will probaly say she had PPD or the vloices told her to and get off for mental issues. They need to get all the people who abuse children and fix it to where they can't have anymore and send them some place where they can harm anymore kids.Or put them all on death row.

I hope you are not saying that MOST women that have problems with new born babies kill them....MOST women DO have problems with new borns and very few are actually killed. Of course 1 is too many but in actual #'s I would bet it is less than 1/10th of 1%

MOST women? No way. Statistically I'd say the number is very small. But if even it happens to one child, that's one too many. Bless his soul.
