I think room temp bottles are just fine. As long as you use clean water. Why get a baby used to warm bottles. If you are out and about, what are you going to do about getting warm bottles. It will be much easer to feed him room temp bottle, rather then search for a away to heat the bottle.
When I gave birth to my daughter, due to her being the billy rubin lights (sorry for the spelling) They made me give her formula, in addition to me nursing. They didn't warm it for me, it was pre-mixed, and room temp.
My mom never feed us warmed bottles. She told me, there were even times when she gave it to us straight from the fridge. Back then, she used the pre-mixed stuff in large bottles. So, she would have to keep it in the fridge. All of us are fine. (most babies won't like it that cold though)

Room temperature is fine, and has the added benefit of getting Baby used to it, so if you're out and about and have to make up a bottle and can't find anything to warm a bottle in, s/he will drink a room temp bottle. Just make sure that the water you're using, at least for the first year, is distilled water or bottled water or purified water, not tap water. Congratulations on becoming a mommy!!

Nothing's wrong with it. What I always did was make up about 6 bottles in the morning with just water. Then let them sit on the counter and become room temp. Then when he was hungry, step one was already taken care of. He liked it just fine room temp. Warming is not necessary.

I always did room temp. for playtime feedings when I didn't want my babies to sleep, and I warmed it up a little at nap or bed time because I thought it might help them rest a little better and I couldn't stand the thought of them not having anything warm in thier little bellies all day long.. So that is what I did but, just out of preferance not because it was right or wrong

I think you should try it both ways and see what your baby likes best, you'll know after a couple of feedings. I warmed up the water in my son's bottles in the microwave before putting the formula in them, one at a time, whenever he demanded feedings. It just seemed like he slept better when they were slightly warm like mother's breast milk. I still warm his cow's milk now. He's 13 months old and always likes it that way for bedtime or nap times.

There is nothing wrong with serving his bottle at room temperature! My son INSISTS that his is SLIGHTLY warm: he won't tolerate a room-temp bottle. It's all about the babies preference. My oldest son, now 17, liked his COLD out of the frige... and to this day he STILL loves cold food. He will open a can of ravioli, put it in a bowl and then in the frige... after a while I'll see him eatting it. I personally think it's disgusting BUT, it's his meal :)

My baby is breastfed but my sister's son was on the bottle. She started him off with warm milk, thinking that babies prefer this. Months later on a trip, she had given him room temperature milk, since she didn't carry a warmer.. he had refused the bottle and got fussy. She noticed thereafter that he would only take warm milk.. she said that she should have gotten him used to room temperature instead. I'm sure babies prefer warm milk, but the drawback is.. are you always able to provide it to him?

it is a matter of opinion. I like to give baby warm formula.
Actually there are times when babys will let you know what they like. Some babies are very paticular. Your baby will let you know.
