When you go to the grocery store you no how the have the carts with the carseat type thing attached to the cart. I would never do this because I think it is nasty for some reason. But would you ever put your child in one of those?

My son is 6 weeks old and was nursed for his first four weeks. He's now on Enfamil w/Iron and only poops about every 2.5-3 days. He always passes gas so I don't think he's constipated but my family is all worried and says that I should call the doc bc he doesn't have bowel movements that often.

Sometimes he'll cry when he does poop, and sometimes he doesn't. The consistency is that of paste so it's not hard.

I don't know. He goes to the doc on Mon. but I want to know if this is something I should be concerned about?

Once a child is of the age to ask for the breast feeding this seems perverse and like a sign of mental instability and hanging on by mother. what are your thoughts on the subject?

When I had my baby I had decided not to breast feed from the begining I just could'nt do it...it felt weird and nasty to me, I don't know why I just relate it to something sexual, I have been molested in the past by two people woman and men I think that's why I feel it's so uncomfterbal. I would never want to hurt my child and believe me that if I felt I was doing my baby harm I would have tried longer but I just thought of all those babies that did not get breast milk for different reasons and are fine besides the way things are now I trust formulas 100%...My point is that all through out my childbirth and first few months I always had people judging me and giving me dirty looks when they new I did not breast feed by choice...I just want to know I'm not like the worst mother in the world.

I have been reading and different books and websites say different things. My 6/12 month old has been eating solids for 2 1/2 months. I feed him cereals, veggies and he will only eat a few fruits (he doesn't really care for them that much). When do you start feeding them the actual dinners with meats in it? I have read 10 months somewhere I read when they are crawling in other places? I just want to do what is right for him and I can't seem to find the information! He is trying to crawl right now. He can go backwards but not forward yet. I also wondered when they start things like cherios, biter biscuits and such. Any advice so I know when to start these things?

he's a little over 4 months and since about 2 months he's been fussing through EVERY feed.. sometimes more than others, but some fussing every time.. He has tried Zantac, and is on Hypoallegenic formula.. he doesnt have reflux, so meds were stopped. I feel it's the nipple he doesnt like.. not so much as the nipple, but the flow.. We have tried Ventair, dropins , drbrowns, gerber, nuk, now trying avent.. And he's using niplpe with 1 hole, which is ment for Newborns... So sometimes he gets frustrated b/c its too slow.. then when i switch to next one up, he chokes himself and swallows air... Arrggghhh... so i try making hole bigger with every bottle he's tried... just not working.. Anyone else had this problem?

Mother, what is your opinion. Male circumcision must be for all boys, but piercing ears of girls must be a choice of her when she is older?

My nine month old just started wanting to sleep my bed at night. He was sick for a little while and he had to be in the hospital for three days. I ended up sleeping in the hospital crib with him but even before that he was sleeping with me and I couldn't get him out. He has never slept with us until now. What can I do to get him out of my bed ASAP. I need some sleep and some space.

I asked this question earlier, but didnt mention my husband will also be in school for the next 4 years and maybe another two for a his doctorit.

I am 31 almost 32(sept). We have been married 12 years, have one little girl 3 years old. I am going back to college to pursue a degree in nursing(RN). Its a total of four years. We both would'nt mind having another, I just feel, If i wait I would be 36 and my cut off is 34/35. What to do? Do you feel like your taking away time from your first if you have another child?

I find that my son's bottle teats are all cloudy. I clean them really well in very hot water and usually microwave sterilise them, but since they went cloudy I've been soaking them in boiling water with a bit of detergent. It doesn't work though. I had the same problem with my daughter's when she was a baby, but when I soaked them they'd come out clear.

Anyone have any ideas why they do this and how I can fix it?

He used to sleep 12 to15 hours a night But when he was 4 months he started getting up 3 to 6 times a night. Now i'm lucky if he goes down at midnight and sleeps till 4 am. I was told that as he gets older he would sleep better. Why is it backwards for my son? He is constantly screaming as well. he gets checked out monthly and I ahve been taking him in as well betweeen his scheduled appointments but the drs say he is healthy. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, I have been keeping him up during the day (no napping) but that doesn't work. He just gets even more cranky.

Is it bad to let a 4 month old baby cry if there is nothing wrong with them? For example: if he's full, has a clean diaper, and has been burped. I feel bad letting him cry, but he is so fussy about everything even sometimes when i play with him. But not all the time. And i know he doesn't have Colic, because it just started within the last couple of days.

is going to turn 20 pounds before he turns one the way he is growing now. He is 3 1'2 months and 14 pounds. So, what do I do, since they told me that you have to have your child rear facing until they are at least one years old. What do I buy next? I am so confused.

My daughter is 7 days old and i have been breastfeeding her since day one. Lately it seems like she wants to feed constantly. She usually has her eyes closed and will nurse for a while, then stop but still be latched and then start nursing again. Is this something normal? And for how long do you normally nurse them on each breast at a time? and about how long do you go between feedings? She was born at 6 lbs 8 ozs but has dropped down to 5 lbs 15 ozs. I know i am producing pleanty of milk as the doctors had me pump for a while and measure the cc's that she was drinking and her urine and feces out put. Also she wont take a pacifier and i was wondering if you have any suggestions for this as i think some of the time she just wants something to suck on and is not really hungry. Thank you for any advice!

With my last baby I tried a few different pumps and nothing worked on me or was comfortable. I will not be pumping on a regular basis, so I dont need anything massively expensive and heavy duty. I do need it to be comfortable though! What is the most 'natural' feeling pump you know of? Whats good for the price? I do seem to have better luck with electric then manual but dont want to spend a fortune on what I wont use all the time.
