all the infant formulas have the same nutrition
but i tried ENFAMIL GENTLEASE LIPIL formula because its designed for babies with fussiness or gas and my baby like it and feel comfortable with it.

My son was a preemie (almost 3 months early) and after he came home from the hospital and was off breastmilk in his feeding tube the one he had the least amount of problems with was Parent's Choice available at Walmart. They have the same ingredients as the more expensive ones, but almost half the price. He is going to be 3 in a couple of weeks and is smart as a whip.

i found that reading the labels, most formulas: even store-brands (target-brand, and wall-mart brand), all have the same ingredients. if baby gets constipated a lot, give baby a little water (about 2 oz) a day, just to 'loosen things up'.
goodstart was the easiest for my baby to digest, esp the liquid good start in the can that comes 8 cans to a box in 8.4 oz servings.....join www.verybestbaby.com and they will send you coupons for $1 to $9 off your purchases of their formulas.
you could also try similac with iron but it's a little harder to digest than goodstart. (and join www.similac.com).

Check the ingredients for comparison. My older son preferred the Costco brand of formula, while my younger one CHOSE Similac. The Costco brand and Similac had about the same nutritional level so I was comfortable with their choices.
If your baby is constipated, try givig him a bit of water. At six months, he can start taking just water.

Some will say yes and some will say no. I always say go with what works for your baby. My little ones couldn't handle any of the formulas and ended up on whole milk early than recommend (per drs orders) and did ok with that. If good start is working for your baby that is all that matters. Baby should be drinking plenty and not throwing it back up, gaining weight and staying hydrated.

I am from Austraila so i think we have different ones here. All them are great but one might suit other kids more..
Also with the consitpation ! you do need to give your child a water bottle aswell as formula. And with the grape jucie or something else.

I doubt your infant was constipated and I wouldn't have changed the formula based on that. I would have tried glycerin suppositories or prune juice. All formulas are okay.
