... am going to need. I'm starting to compile a list, but don't want to miss anything vital. Any useful website links with essentials would be helpful.

Thanks

Yesterday, I noticed that my 7 month old daughter started getting small red dots all over her arms, legs, and belly......one of the spots on her arm had a little white in the middle..I was a little worried so I called a nurse because my doctors office was closed yesterday.......she said that it was hard to tell what it was but not to worry and not to take her to the doctor unless the spots are there for 3 days.........well today when she woke up I looked at the again ........they have gotten larger (about pea size) and almost all of them have the white in the middle.......I have changed laundry soap or anything like that........do you know what this could be?

My daughter is a little over 5 months, she normally goes to bed at 8:30 pm and will wake between 2:15 - 3:15 am to nurse then goes back to sleep till I have to wake her - since I work during the week. I usually wake her at 6:30 which gives me time to nurse her and get her ready to go by 7ish. Last night she slept all the way through till 4:45 am, I nursed her and she's sleeping, should I still wake her at 6:30 to nurse her or just let her sleep till almost 7 and get her up, change her and go? I want to keep my milk supply up so I wasn't sure what most mom's do when their breastfed baby starts sleeping through the night. Thanks.

Our son is 2 weeks old and eats at midnight and sleeps til 4-5am. Is this a good schedule? He stays awake from about 9pm-12 midnight, i give him a bath at about 10pm and bottle after the bath and he sleeps til 4-5 am. How does your new baby sleep? and how much during the day are they awake?

First of all, we have a great bedtime routine. She always has a 4oz bottle then we play, take a bath, etc & then after an hour or so we go into her room & I give her a 2oz bottle & read her the same story & she goes right down - in her crib, on her back. I whisper her prayers & she is asleep before I leave the room. She sleeps anywhere from 5-7 hours straight at night.

BUT, during the day is another story all together.

We have found that she really prefers to sleep on her stomach. She sleeps longer and better.

So when she wakes in the morning, we give her a 6oz bottle & then play for an hour or so & then try to put her down on a blanket on the floor of her room, on her stomach.

As soon as we set her down she starts to cry. Sometimes this cry is just a wimper & then fades to her falling asleep within 30 seconds & other times she has to reach a full on wail for about 2-5 minutes before she tires herself out and then finally falls asleep.

Is this typical? Any suggestions?

I'm planning for a 2nd baby but I'm wondering whether to switch to midwife or find other OBGYN. His office opens on Saturday too,ya friendly nurse(his wife). During my 1st baby delivery he suggested epidural to avoid torture but when I checked in at 1am with 2cm dilated I was given pitocin and no epidural until 8am the next day due to waiting for blood test and to wait for the 2bags of saline to be pumped into my body. I was in pain for 7hrs. At 8am after the epidural I already dilated to 7cm. Then at 9:50am I started pushing. 10:14am baby was born. Everything seems smooth but I wonder the pitocin is necessary. What do yo think? After the birth I have problem to sit and walk for 2months cause the muscle at my butt was so so painful. He said it's caused of the pushing. The butt pain is more torturing than the birth itself. Do you think all those can be avoided with different doctor? Please let me know your opinion.

Can you store milk from both breasts in the same bottle or the same freezer bag? Also, can you take breastmilk that has already been in the fridge and instead freeze it?
