Yesterday, I noticed that my 7 month old daughter started getting small red dots all over her arms, legs, and belly......one of the spots on her arm had a little white in the middle..I was a little worried so I called a nurse because my doctors office was closed yesterday.......she said that it was hard to tell what it was but not to worry and not to take her to the doctor unless the spots are there for 3 days.........well today when she woke up I looked at the again ........they have gotten larger (about pea size) and almost all of them have the white in the middle.......I have changed laundry soap or anything like that........do you know what this could be?

I don't think it could be heat rash because I have my central air on and we haven't been outside.

the white part in the middle is now skin color...so it looks just like little rings all over her arms and legs.......it doesn't seem to be bothering her though

I'm not sure what it is. But I think I would take her to the doctor today, anyway.......no matter what the nurse said.

Sounds like chicken pox.... but it's hard to say without seeing a pic of the spots.... Your best bet is to take her to the doctor no matter what the nurse said... if its chicken pox it can be very serious... When my daughter had chicken pox she was very young like yours.... when children are really young and are suffering with chicken pox...first of all its hell for them and secondly they are at a much higher risk of complications... for my daughter she had to be put on antibiotics to help speed up the healing because they were around her eyes (they were actually EVERYWHERE!! :( and chicken pox can cause blindness among other things, however I do know that the antibiotics have to be administered within the fist 72 hours of the outbreak.... Hopefully its not chicken pox that young, either way I think you should take her in just incase.... Good luck!

First, change every soap and cleaner that the baby comes in contact with. It could be an alergic reaction. If it still doesn't clear up after that, then she needs to see the doctor. A nurse is only giving you advice, she is not able to give a diagnosis. I would take her to the doctor anyway. He will at least prescribe some cream for it.

Sounds like chicken pox. But on the other side (simple side) it could be just a heat rash. Call the doctor and get her over there to make sure. Good luck

It could be chicken pox. Kids do get shots for that, but all's that does is make it more bearable for them instead of them having to itch all the time and it prevents the fever that goes w/ it. Another thing to try would be to switch her bath soap. My son's allergic to anything Huggies and he breaks out in a rash b/c of it. He's like me and anything that's labeled as "hypoallergenic" we're allergic to it. It could also be hand, foot & mouth disease. I remember my son also having that, but I can't remember if they had the whiteheads on the bumps. Whatever you do, do NOT pop them! Doing so could lead to scarring and it could possibly spread to other areas of the skin! Good luck and hope the doc can figure it out!

If you haven't sen the doctor by now, you should. Small children are so vulnerable, infections and conditions which would be merely bothersome to an adult can be deadly. Having just seen "Sicko", I hope you know how to get the health industry to pay up. In the meantime, check out "webmd.com.
Good luck!

It can be anything from heat rush, diaper rush to chicken pox. Don't delay and take your baby to the doctor or emergency if he is not there for too long. There is a website. Maybe it will help. Good luck.

Did she try a new food that may have caused an allergy? It could be alot of things spider bite, heat rash, fever rash, babies have very sensitive skin, my son got small pimples all over his chest because of his drooling. Just wait and see.

That doesn't sound right, I would call the doctor's office again and let them know they're getting bigger and that most of them have white in the middle. It's easy for them to tell you not to worry, it's not their baby.
