Yes it is normal. They also breath uneven too. I always thought my son was having an asthma attack, but the doctor said it was just the newborn getting used to being out of the womb.

Yes its very common at this age for them to breath fast but like other people have said if you are worried dont hesitate to ask the doctor or midwife for advise, congratulations on your new baby

yes they make all kinds of noises 'grunting,squeeling with the breathing as long as the dont look like their having trouble breathing heavy then yes its normal
