My neice weighs 20 lbs. She is 10 1/2 months. Just curious about what others expirences where.

I'm not concerned that she isn't weighing what she is supposed to. I was just curious because I've never been around children that young before and I thought that they weighed more. Her doctor has said she is in the normal range and is growing very well.

My first daughter was about 23 or 24 pounds and my younger daughter would have been about 18 or 19 pounds. Your niece is a nice size.

If you are concerned about your neice's weigh, than you probably should have her mother see a doctor. Any weight that is not normal could mean a health problem, whether overweight or underweight. Doctors usually will keep track of a baby's growth with a "growth chart" which takes a combination of height and weight to determine if the baby is in the normal range. Anything way out of the normal range is a cause for concern. See the link below.

My son is 10 months on the 3rd. He currently weighs 25 to 27 lbs. (he was 24 lbs. last month), but he was born at 9lbs. 7 oz. and has been near or above the 100th percentile ever since.

My daughter weighed about 13lbs or so at 10 months she is 15 months now and weighs almost 16lbs

That sounds about right... My son is 17lbs and 7 months old...
