How old is she or he?
I KNOW the baby is sitting with you, that's obvious.
Unless your church has a nursery where you can drop the baby off, I am interested in knowing do you hold the baby in your lap, let the baby sit in a car seat, what?

My son is 17 months. I have always held him/sat him on my lap during church. We used to go to a very small church that I attended since I was 8 years old! Everyone there was like family and the priest would actually object if a mother removed her crying infant. He used to say "babies cry! It's alright!" lol However, we moved about half a year ago and the new church we attend is a lot bigger and has different views on baby noise :) So now we sit in the cry room...just in case! (and let me tell you, most Sundays I am very glad I am in the cry room! lol)

My son is 8 months old. I will hold him in my arms during worship in an area set apart in the back for parents of babies. But usually, by the end of worship he is tired and hungry so I will go into the nursing mothers room. It is a room that has comfy chairs that is dimly lit and has a one-way window into the sanctuary and audio piped through. I will sit down and nurse him to sleep in my lap and he will stay there till the end of service. Occasionally he will decide he wants to crawl around so I will take him into the foyer that has the audio piped through and let him crawl around while I listen.

my baby is 4 months.

he sits in his car seat when we first arrive, untill he gets bored/tired... Then i pick him up and hold him upright so he can look around. He can only stay up for 2 hours at the most, so if he gets fussy, i go in the back row, stand and rock him and he's out... then i sit back down..

After the service, he usually gets passed around between family memebers and mommy gets a tiny break =]

It depends on the baby's age. Up until 5 months, I allways took my baby in the car seat (maxi cosi) but since then, she just sits on my lap.

I use a baby sling and stay in the back row just in case.

My son is 4 mo old and there is a great nursery, but I don't want to leave him there.

When he was very young, we kept our son in the car seat right next to us. Once he outgrew the infant seat we started letting him go to the nursery.

If they are small enough, a baby carrier is good. Otherwise, on the parent's lap or next to them. In general, it is not wise to place two small children next to each other.

Mine is 1 and until he could sit by him self I took the carseat if he was sleeping and sat it on the pew beside me and even sometimes if he wasn't sleeping. now that he can sit on his own he sits beside me that is when he isn't trying to run all over the place. :)
