My son is 4 months old and my parents watch him while I'm at work. Since the day he was born, I don't like anyone else to hold him and I only recently started supplementing nursing with formula because I feel very jealous when anyone else feeds him. I can only recently share the time I spend with him with my husband without feeling resentment. I don't like working anymore because all I can think of is my son and worrying that he is okay and not crying, and I'm exhausted because I don't want to miss seeing him when he wakes up at night so I don't ask anyone else to help me. Recently my father and I are butting heads about my work schedule, and now I just want to quit so I can keep him with me. I just want to cry all the time when we are apart. I know this isn't healthy for me or my son, but I can't figure out what to do. Has anyone else been thru this and if so, what should I do?

Can't stand "girly" boy's names, and want to stay away from the ultra trendy: Jacob, Aiden, Kaden, Braden, Jaden.. Blah.. Help!! We have a 2 y/o daugther named "Quinn" and we love it, perfect for her. We're looking for something self-standing and not too trendy. Thanks!

My baby is 8 weeks old. She's been on a great schedule. She nurses 5 times during the day, and then sleeps the whole night. She's been doing this for a couple of weeks now. Even before that she would sleep all night most of the time. During the day, she usually has three good naps. Starting yesterday, though, she slept most of the day. I was afraid she was getting on a bad schedule and wasn't going to sleep all night, but she still slept all night. She woke up to nurse this morning, and slept through nursing and changing her diaper. I was hoping she would stay awake for a while, but she fell right back to sleep. I'm worried about her. I don't know if she's sick or why she is sleeping so much. Any thoughts?

My son was born 5 weeks early and is just a joy to have in my life. He has always been developmentally on track and usually beyond his gestational/birth age. My question is he turned 10 months old today and I was wondering how many naps per day do you have your 10 month old babies take and how long are the naps and how much do they sleep at night? When I told one of my daughters RT's that come to the house that mine was taking 2 naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon she looked shocked! She asked did he sleep through the night I told her he wakes up around 3 for a drink of water but goes right back to sleep as long as we dont pick him up - turn on a bright light- or talk loudly to him

My son will be 19 months when the second is born. I am freaking out because he gets so much love, affection, and attention and I am jealous for him. I feel a little resentful towards the new baby becasue it will take away from my first. I am becoming obsessed thinking about how I can make it easier for my first. How have you dealt with second children, making both children feel equally imprtant? Did you feel nervous about making your first not an only child anymore? (We are happy about baby #2, just sad for baby #1!)

I've had 3 drug free active labours, ie never on a bed. My first delivered standing holding hubby with foot on the bed. 2nd and 3rd in the bath. I've experienced 4 contractions total on the bed, which was the worst pain ever. I'm interested to know
What part of the world you live,
What type of care/ place (Obsgynae/Midwife, doula with you, hospital, home, birth centre)
Position during labour and at the birth of your baby
Were you happy with your experience, did you feel in control, calm etc.
Tears/ episitomy/ventouse/forceps/apgars etc
And yes it is possible to have a drug free, relaxed empowering and happy birth-day! (Makes for happy contented babies too!)
