Yes...i have given him gas drops.

No..I am not giving him formula and breastmilk combined....purely breastmilk. I just pump and feed him in a bottle due to latching problems.

He has not started daycare yet. Only thing that has changed is that I opted for the Mirena IUD birth control. It was inserted a week ago. could this be the porblem?

Ear infection. Eustachian tubes that go from ear to throat probably backed up. When this happens, swallowing makes ears hurt worse. Only other guess is if baby just had immunizations shots. If he did, call the doctor pronto!! High pitched screaming warning sign of adverse reaction to some shots. Baby pulling at ears?? Sign of ear infection. I highly doubt doctor would give you an IUD if it would effect baby through breast milk.

It sounds like colic, which is gas that's trapped in the baby's stomach. One thing I did for my daughter when she had it was to boil a few slices of onion, then take out some of the water you boiled it in and let it cool, then add just a bit of sugar to it and give it in his bottle. I don't know why, but this works. There are also infant gas drops that you can buy. Also, bouncing him a lot will help. I would hold my daughter, her stomach facing me, and bounce and swing at the same time. Car rides can help too.

If the onion juice or gas drops don't help I'd take him to the doctor though, just to rule out anything more serious. Good luck.

Hi, sandy, It seems to be like he may be suffering from Gas. You may probably try this thing which I usually do and suggest everyone and it really works too...

Get Asafotieda (its a powder which is commonly used in India in cooking , the brand name is LG) from any Indian store. Just take a pinch of powder in your palm and put a drop or 2 drops of warm water in it. Rub well and put around your baby's tummy. Its very powerful, and its not harmful. It won't hurt skin . So, try this one and good luck.

I will pray for his good health too...

for one you need to give formula and maybe if you think about it if you are not eating the way you need to the milk that you are making might not be enough food for him. Then put him on cereal that will work. I know that you like the fact that you soul won't him to depend on you because you are his mother but i had to do both because my milk was not giving my baby enough vitamins and enough fat to live on. So please try doing both it will not make you any less of a mother at all

Gas? Are you eating foods that could be giving him gas? Are you supposed to be giving him breast milk and formula? The formula could be upsetting his tummy. Call you doctor.

He could be teething too. Check his gums. Have you just started daycare? Anything could throw him off at that age, they are so sensitive to their surroundings.
