I assume they are reluctant to drink milk. I don't imagine that you are sending them out to milk a cow or something.

Anyway, babies shouldn't have milk until they are a year old. They should either have breastmilk or formula. Between 4-6 months (some doctors reccomend later) you can add in solids and water or juice. But no milk. Not until a year.

There is not really enough info here, but when you say reluctant is he arching and pulling away from his bottle? Does he vomit or spit up after the feeds or cry in pain with gas after he eats?
If these things are happening he may have reflux and you should speak to your doctor.
I would try feeding him smaller amounts but more frequently and see if he is more willing to eat. Also, maybe a formula change is needed.

Four months is old enough to start on baby cereals. Do give breast or formula with it though. She may just not like one brand, try different ones.
