How exactly are we supposed to balance it all? I am new to this, as this is my first child. Luckily, I am a freelancer, and can work from home, but I am only able to work about 1.5 hours per day, once the baby is cared for, dinner cooked, housekeeping, etc...

Any suggestions? Has anybody out there come up with any great solutions? Thanks in advance for all of your great answers!

My son will be 5 months in 6 days. Since he was underweight when he was born, I focussed a lot on him having to drink his milk. He on the otherhand hated to eat. He can go hours without a feeding and not let out a cry and will just sleep if I dont give him anything. He absolutely does not care for hunger.

So in order for him to drink his milk, my family and I would spend time showing him toys, singing songs and then he would drink his milk. Now he does not take his bottle without toys that interest him. We keep showing him different things. He will soon be going to daycare and I am worried what is going to happen.

Any idea why he is so uninterested in drinking his milk? Please advice what I can do to break this habit and make him drink his milk. I really want to change this habit. I know its my fault to have done it in the first place but I did not have any other options.

He is otherwise active, plays a lot. He is completely on breastmilk in a

My baby is six months old and just cut her first tooth. It's not all the way in but the top is white and its sharp.
I thought babies didnt get teeth until they are older. Is this even normal?
How long is it going to take to come in all the way? Will she be fussy the whole time?

My 17 week old daughter constantly comfort nurses to sleep. ( I can tell the difference between her feeding and her just sucking away) Is it just a phase that will pass on its own? She wont take a soother for the life of her so that is not an option for me; and I dont want to let her cry it out. Any ideas would be a great help!

we have our first baby coming in may and my mother-in-law gave us a used car seat from a garage sale made in 04, we honestly dont like it and u can tell its been used! then her sister gave us a travel system from graco even flow made in 10-02-01 car seat and stroller. my mother wants to get us a new one but his mom insists she already gave us some. i dont want the baby having so many hand me downs when hes just a newborn!! i feel so bad. are those car seats too old to be used in 2007. how long can a car seat be used? i just cant stop thinking about this. were a young couple and i dont want to be walking around with old stuff, ill only keep it if its okay to be used and theres a way to clean them. thanks for all the answers!

My family is throwing me a baby shower next month, but I want to give "thank you" favors away from "the baby" at my shower. I went to a shower recently where the mom to be gave out "thank you" votive candles and it had a cute poem attached to it, I can't remember exactly what it said but basically it was something along the lines of "even though I am not here yet I wanted to say thank you for gift, etc." and then the poem went on to ask guests to light the candle and say a prayer in babies name. Anyhow, it was super cute and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions or even cute poems to attach to the thank you gifts from the baby!
