I have a nine month old and I hear the "berry" family can cause an allergic reaction. Does that mean all berries? Even strawberries?

As soon as he falls asleep I take it out (I know all about the milk hurting the teeth bit). He will stay awake allllll day until I give him a bottle to relax and sleep. He won't even eay but a very small amount...and he hates the pacifier. Should I just let him cry it out next time?

It seem like he is sucking on a nipple. How can I get him to stop. I really would love for him to sleep in my bed with me. I do not want to get him his own blanket because I can still hear that sucking noise in my room.
It is so annoying. I always end up kicking him out of my room. I love for him to sleep with me on my bed. BUt I can't stand the sound. Someone please help. I tried telling him no but he has not listen. I think he was tooken away from his mom too early.

I know the car seat is something we'll want to purchase new, and I'd like to get a new crib and dresser - but apart from that, is there anything we might regret buying used? (I'm speaking of safe, up-to-date stuff, of course.)

One of my friends is having a baby. She is 17, soon to be 18, and is without a partner/boyfriend. She is having a baby shower in April and I don't want to give her too much of the usual stuff (diaper, creams, etc.) because there are 20 adults invited and they are sure to check up on the internet or, well, just know, to give her the classic nessisities. I need a gift that one teen can give to another without blushing! Please, any suggestions?

I know this could be a regional thing - I'd really like to know about Southern California hospitals.

I haven't had a baby YET but I am curious about this. Call me old-fashioned, but I think it would be nice to get a few good nights sleep in during my stay at the hospital, esp. if I have a c-section!

Many of my girlfriends who had c-sections left the hospital completely exhausted after 3-4 restless nights taking care of their baby in their room while they can barely move due to the surgery they just underwent.

In my mind, sleep helps the healing process...and once you go home with your lil bundle of joy, sleep will not be easy to come by (even with an awesome husband helping out). The first few nights at the hospital should be your chance to get that rest. You have the entire day to bond with your new baby.

What's your take on this?

My son went to the Dr.s on Friday for wherr I was told he had a cold and that he was at the beginning of it. His Dr. told me not to be surprised if he gets worse before he gets better. He told me his ears were pink but that it could have been caused by him crying during his exam. He cries off and on like he's in pain, then settles down when I comfort him, and is fine again. He has ran a low grade fever off and on. I don't want to take him back to the Dr.s for no reason but I don't want him to suffer either. What do I do??

My mother in law says that if I do, my baby's inmune system won't develop correctly... Is that true? ((I think if I don't disinfect the toys, she could catch E. Coli or something....))

Thanks!

My poor little girl has a yeast infection, I took her to the doctor on Monday for it and they gave me a prescription for Nystatin, twice daily. They told me to apply a diaper rash cream for the rest of the diaper changes. So it's been two days and it's worse than it was before, it's now oozing clear pus and she screams bloody murder when I have to change her. The doctor said to give it another day or two...is there ANYthing else I can do for her? It's killing me to see her in pain!

I lost my baby at 22 weeks and I need some help stopping the breast milk. I don't want any feedback saying I should donate or anything like that. I have tried cabbage, but it seems to make thinks worse. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

This elderly man came up to my child and committed on how pretty she was and then rubbed her cheeks and shoulders. I told him to please not touch her. Would you have done the same thing or did I overreact. I just don't like strangers touching my kids, even if its in a good way.

My boss seems to think that I will only need a few days off work, hes rather old fashioned. But my concern is having my baby at daycare at a young age with all the sickness and germs. Is there any law to help me take off more time to care and bond with my newborn?

Babybed or something? I don't mean like a cradle, just the regular bed for babies.
