It's fine to let the kid have the bottle, I grew up having three younger siblings.

Try switching it to a water only bottle or just give him back the nipple with the cap on it after you rinse the milk from it. After two boys of my own (and a girl on the way) I say give the kid the bottle and get some sleep while you can!

Try a different type on pacifier. My son WONT use the typical pacifiers and did exactly what u describe till I found the different nipple. Now he is old enough to put his fingers in his mouth or grabs my arm to hold against his face to sleep. We spent about $25 on pacifiers before we found what he likes and now he uses them very little. Good luck

If you are worried about baby bottle tooth decay, you can try keeping a tiny bottle of water next to you after feeding, and let him have that. You can try differ. pacifiers, but I had a pacifier hater too. Have you tried to get him nap in a swing, or bouncer?

As a Mom with grown kids, I'd say let him have the bottle. As my grandmother told me about my daughters hair, she was about 5 or 6 and we were fighting about her hair. My grandmother told me, let her have her hair anyway she wants, it is her hair and so many more important things will come up that will need to be fought over. She was right, Forget the bottle, he will give it up on his own when he is ready, make it easy on yourself, just have him keep the bottle in his bed. Good luck and he'll be fine.

put water in the bottle. then he has the comfort of drinking a bottle without the problem of milk hurting his teeth. works for my daughter. plus it might be the type of pacifier your using thathe hates. my daughter LOVES the "nuk" pacifiers! try them, its worth a shot.

What an unfortunate issue. I would definitely sweat it out. After all, at that age they are easily influenced. Try the removal for a few times, you may have to suffer the crying.

What's so bad about that? Once he doesn't sleep with the bottle attached to his mouth, I wouldn't be concern.
