My grandson sleeps like your child does.
He goes to sleep around 8:00 pm and we wake him up at 7:00 am for daycare. He sleeps from noon to 1:30, nap time.
He would sleep longer if he could.
When he is at home during nap time, he will sleep about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. His waking hours, he is a busy guy.
My grandson is 2 years 9 months. He has always needed more sleep. His Doctor told his daddy, my son that he is fine and some kids need more sleep than others.
Next time your child has a Doctor appt. be sure to discuss this with him/her.

Your baby will sleep what he/she needs. My son sleeps 9 hours at night then most of the time takes a 1 hour nap in the morning and a 2 or 3 hour in the afternoon and sometimes a 5 or 10 minute snooze in between and hes almost 6 months old but every baby is different.

There's no magical number of hours required by all kids in a certain age group. Two-year-old Sarah might sleep from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, whereas 2-year-old Johnny is just as alert the next day after sleeping from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Still, sleep is very important to a child's well-being. The link between a child's lack of sleep and his or her behavior isn't always obvious. When adults are tired, they can either be grumpy or have low energy, but kids can become hyper, disagreeable, and have extremes in behavior.

Most children's sleep requirements fall within a predictable range of hours based on their age, but each child is a unique individual with distinct sleep needs.

On average Between 6 and 12 months , an infant may nap about 3 hours during the day and sleep about 11 hours at night.

Yes, my daughter slept from 8 pm to about 9 am, then she would have a nap for about an hour in the morning and then one in the afternoon. She quit having the morning nap at around a year old, i'm sure there is nothing wrong with her like some people are saying, she is probably just a contented baby.

My 11 1/2 month old sleeps about 11 hours a night and 2-3 hour nap once a day. So your little one is sleeping a little more, that's normal, and great for you!

WOW, I have never heard of a kid sleeping that much at so young. I would see someone about that.

Babies this age need about 14 hours of sleep per day and are capable of sleeping for as long as seven hours at a time. If your baby sleeps for longer than that, she's probably waking up briefly but has figured out how to settle herself back to sleep - a sign that she's becoming a good sleeper. She's probably having a couple of hour-and-a-half to two-hour naps each day by now, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Keeping consistent times for bed and naps will help to regulate her sleep patterns.

As long as the child is growing at normal rate I would not be concerned. Some children require more sleep. Probably after he or she is over one year, they may cut out the morning nap. Some kids continue to nap in the afternoon until they are 5 or even longer. By the time they are teenagers, they will sleep more, this is normal. Of course once they start going out, you will lose sleep worrying about them. This is normal too. Enjoy it while you can.

Her sleep schedule and sleep varieties will replace. My daughters looked as though it might replace each and each month. For a jointly as there, mine became in basic terms sound asleep 12 hours an afternoon additionally. Now she sleeps 14 or 15. while she became approximately 10-twelve months previous, she did not take ANY naps. Now she takes one long one. Your toddler might start to take and sleep longer at night. while i began mine on cereal I gave it to her at 7pm and placed her to mattress at 8pm, she began sound asleep 12 hours at night then, because of fact her abdomen became finished. I guess as quickly as you initiate her on cereal her sleep behavior replace some. i began mine on cereal at 5 months, although the pediatrician suggested i ought to at 4 months.
