My baby is only 5 weeks old and i think i already spoiled her? Is this possible? She sleeps in her crib at night, but I usually let her fall asleep on me. Especially after she'd eaten and been burped. My bf or I usually hold her for a while until she's completely knocked out and then we put her down. I don't know if this is a phase or what, but lately she's been such a cry-baby, wanting us to hold her. She can stay laying down or in the bouncer or sitting in her swing for a little while. But then she'll cry and won't stop until we pick her up. Even at night, when she's in her crib, she'll be ok for a moment and when she realizes she's alone or not near us, she'll SCREAM!

This is what I tried to avoid even before I gave birth. I NEVER wanted to spoil my baby. But i never thought u could spoil a newborn. Is this possible? And what can I do?

Can anyone help regarding the side effects of the MMR vaccination given at 12 month wellness visit?

My son developed a fever immediately after the vaccination. Of course he had other vaccinations as well (the standard). He ran a fever for 2/3 days. However, his behavior has changed. He won't play by himself at all. If I try to play with him he want me to hold him. He buries his face in my legs or the sofa. He'll grab my hands and hold them sometimes rubbing his face in them.

He has seemed weaker and very fussy (clingy too!!). He won't let me leave his sight. Also, he had some small bruises on his thighs (maybe from the injections)? Now, it's exactly one week later and he's running a super high fever 102 with tylenol. I plan on sleeping on his floor and monitoring him every hour through the night.

Is this a normal reaction to the MMR/12 month checkup. He is allergic to eggs and I've found the MMR is made from egg protiens.

TIA!

My daughter (7 months) developed a sudden very red rash in her diaper area it stayed there for about three days before it started peeling. Then the rash spread up her stomach and onto her back but its not red like her diaper area its just red dots. I took her to the pediatrician who wasn't sure what it was she did a culture and I am still waiting for the results. Anyways today the rash is all over her and she has a low grade fever. The doctor seemed pretty certain that the rash wasn't yeast. Any ideas?

If it is, should I give her Tylenol or what? I don't want to give her Tylenol for such a low grade fever if her body is fighting off something, but I don't want to make her stay hot if a cool bath or something would fix it. Thanks!

Our son is 12 months old and we can not leave him alone, he constantly wants to be held. We have a room setup with lots of noise making and flashing light toys to distract him, but if he even thinks we are headed out the door for any reason, he will just start crying horrably.

We have a baby gate, and the room opens right up to our open door where he can see us in plain view, but will just keep on crying.

Can anyone suggest anything that might help?

My little boy is 17 weeks and he has a large hemangioma on his head just in front of his fontanelle. My HV says that it will go away in time. How long should it take to disappear? Do I need to be extra careful with it? What causes them, was it something I did when I was pregnant?

Hi all,
I was just wondering how to get my 6 1/2 month old to sleep longer. It does not matter what time I put her to bed. I could put her to bed at 7:00 pm or 11:00 pm and she still sleeps the same amount of time. I don't put her to bed unless I see signs of her being tired. The major sign is that she plays with her ears and scratches the back of her head. After seeing all these indicators, I put her to bed....BUT she is usually up 2-3 maybe even 4 times a night. Not to be fed, just to have her soother put in her mouth. I am getting really worn out. I just don't know what to do...any suggestions.
I have tried batheing at night....I have tried soothing/calm activities. I feed her at bedtime...so that she is full. I change her...so I think I have done everything possible...lol lol..
I would appreciate any advice...
Thanks in advance!!!
