I am 11 weeks and 6 days prego with my first child and Im so excited..Im trying to do everything right..Eat right, Drink right, be stress free, exercise a few times a week and get plenty of rest when im not working. Only question I have is everyone that has been preg before me (my friends) keeps telling me to sleep on my left side. It will help the baby. I really to try to stay on my left side all night but it seems that when I do that I have pore circulation. I wake up and my feet or hands are swollen..My body hurts. So without me realizing alot of mornings I wake up on my back or my right side. Does anyone have any advise for this. Am I being told correctly to only sleep on my left side. Its best for the baby?

I took my 9month old daughter to the dr today for her checkup. The dr. said to finish out whatever baby food I have left and then start giving the baby table food. Everything that we eat, she can eat with teh exception of eggs, honey, peanut butter, and seafood. I feel nervous about doing this. What do you think? What kind of things can I give her for breakfast since I rarely eat breakfast myself?

My 6 month baby has a cold and is on medication from the doctor. It is really concerning us that she will not take her milk. We have tried water as well but she is just not taking her bottle. She seems fine and active otherwise. Can anyone offer any advice?

yesterday my son went to the doctor for his monthly checkup and she asked if he had started trying to crawl yet. i thought he was ahead of most babies from what he's already doing but when she asked that i kind of thought that was ridiculous for her to even bring up i mean he just turned 4 months.

He's almost 3 months old, and he just likes to look at other things... looks around me. He does look at me when he nurses, or usually when I'm changing him, but the rest of the time he wants to look at everything else. I know he's not blind, could this be a sign of something else wrong?

I like to carry my 4 month old in a carrier while I do chores around the house. How much independent time does she need during the day to play? How much babywearing is too much?

Still waking 5-6 times a night & not taking longer than 20 min. naps a day. He seems to be in pain a lot of the evening & night. When will the pain stop? I can feel the ridge (feels like the top of our teeth) of the tooth & can see a little white, but its not up yet. I have been giving him tylenol & orajel for 8 nights in a row, but get nervous about that. (2-3 times a night) I am taking him to the Dr. to be sure its just teething & not his ear, ect..
Here's my question-
1. when will the pain stop? Does the tooth have to be all the way up?
2. Do you think he'll have to be "re-taught' to sleep through the night again (he was sleeping 8-5, but after about a week of training ... let him cry about 10 min, then go in, ect...) or do you think he's just up from the pain.
when I pick him up, he calms down until I put him back into his crib. He is almost 7 months old & fed solids 3 times a day & breastfed.
thanks!

Hello! I trying to bargain shop for baby stuff. (or at least I plan too.) I'm going to move in like 2 months and start my baby shopping spree then. :) I'm excited. I love yard sales and good sales in stores. Are there any great stores hidden out there for baby stuff that is maybe gently used or just on sale! (I know it's a long shot)

I have a female friend whose teenage daughter gave birth, but I was caught up with things, missed the birth, and the grandma gave me the news 2 weeks later.
I want to bring a gift when I visit them, but can anyone help me decide what would be the perfect gift at this point, since they have got pretty much everything they need by now?
