it helped me a lot but not completely. I had to put my son on formula at night because I would run out by the end of the night. I decided to feed almost constantly for weeks and it helped a LOT but I never could go to only breast feeding... always had the bottle at night GOOD LUCK

Wow i have been struggling with this from start....
The only way to make breastfeeding work is to breastfeed.
But if you didn't have a good start just like me here are my thoughts.
Every body is different but these are the things i did for myself to increase my supply.

1. Fenugreek tablets (2) thrice daily
2. If possible nap in the afternoon. the more relaxed the more body can produce.
3. Staying happy helps...my supply lowers when am stressed.
4. keep yourself well hydrated and nourished.

I think so, but I am not a doctor. You can also try to increase production by pumping milk in between feedings or in place of so that you don't decrease in supply.

But some women produce more milk that others so don't try to push it. You produce what your body can handle.

yes breastfeeding more is the best way to increase milk production, just make sure the baby is positioned correctly and has a good latch, essential for increasing milk supply

Yes increase your feedings, the more you nurse the more you produce,if your baby does not want to nurse that often you can always pump between feedings just to get your supply up again.Good luck.

Yes as soon as demand goes up, supply goes up.

Unless there is something else limiting supply like birth control or extreme malnutrition/dehydration.

yes, u can. thats the theory.

unfortunately, things don't always go according to the theories. just like not all birth plans go according the way u want it, breastfeeding may not always go the way u want it. medical conditions and stress caused me to have a low supply. nothing i did worked.

my cousin delivered 3 weeks prematurely to a sick baby. she wanted to bf so much , but the stress caused her to have a low supply, no matter how much he sucked or she pumped nothing would come out.
