Feed it milk for like 12 years

Breastmilk is created to be pretty easy on baby's tummy (so is formula for newborns)...it's all just biology. The same way a baby can grow from a clump of cells to a human being in 9 months...the body just knows what to do and how to handle food. And the digestive system does get a little practice (with lots of help from mom) while still in the womb.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this because babies' digestive systems are NOT instantly able to digest "food" if you mean solids. That's why they are supposed to be fed breastmilk/formula for so long. If they are exposed to "food" before they are ready, their systems do not react well. Otherwise, their digestive system works just like everything else, it develops in the womb and continues to grow and adapt as they do.

That is why you begin slowly introducing foods for the first time. 1- 2 tsp of new food fruit or veggie for a few days for each one to make sure no reaction or allergy.
You get their system customed to the new additions.
A baby's digestive system slowly matures and is able to digest better around 4-6 months of age

The baby's digestive system actually has been exposed to food. It receives nutrients from the food eaten by it's mother through the umbilical cord and that food is processed the same way it would be if the baby had eaten the food itself.

When the digestion system begins functioning when the baby is in the womb. Babies start ingesting amniotic fluid around 15 weeks of pregnancy. They even urinate in the amniotic fluid, but since it is such a sterile environment, it doesn't harm the baby to ingest the amniotic fluid containing the urine. Babies have Meconium lined in their intestines, which is like a thick green tar. Babies usually poop it out shortly after birth.

just like so many other systems work instantly that never have before, the lungs have never inflated, never exchaged oxygen or carbon dioxide. there are even changes in the heart that happen instantly that if they do not take place then there are heart problems. Also baby swallows and urinates out amniotic fluid.

technically it has been exposed to food while being in the mother's uterus.
since all the nutrients go to the baby through the umbilical cord its digestive system has already been getting used to food. except when a baby is born it has baby food that actually goes through the throat, esophagus, etc.

Babies ingest fluid in the womb, and nutrients through the placenta. They create waste before they are born, which is merconium.

Also MOST of the amniotic fluid is baby pee. Low amniotic fluid can be a sign that the baby's kidney's are not working.

It's made to work and it does. All of our systems are made to work. Miraculous, isn't it? Note, though, that babies cannot digest EVERYTHING; there is some "breaking in" to be done.

The lungs haven't worked before either, nor have the eyes. Everything performs according to its function. That's basic biology.
