I am in the same situation and know what you are going through. A few days ago I found my little girl asleep on her stomach face down. She scared me half to death, I thought that she suffocated. But thank God she is OK. Before that we used to sleep on a sleep positioner (baby cushions, wedge or how you want to call them) with a pillow and everything. Now she starts to cry as soon as she realizes that she is on them. She tries to roll over in her sleep to her stomach, I turn her back but she does it again. I have not found a solution for it, except putting her to sleep in our bed with us. I can hear her breathing hard when she is face down and can roll her over and I can feel her as well. This has helped me sleep easier. I am a light sleeper and not that worried that I could hurt her in my sleep. Also I don’t place her between my husband an me, she is only next to me because he sleeps soundly and could roll over. I had placed padding on the floor just in case she falls over, but I always keep a hand around her to keep her near. Hopefully she outgrows this soon and will learn to put her head to the side or roll back to her back. But right now this is how we deal with this situation.

They make a foam wedge with a connector underneath.....
I have a 19 week old and she was doing the same thing. This is what Im talking about
The Breathe Easy⢠Sleep Positioner comes with a sheet saver mat and two VELCRO® brand closure adjustable wedges. The 60 wedges can be adjusted to accommodate babys size and sleeping position. They are curved to conform to babys natural shape. The mat includes a memory foam pillow built in to the top for babys comfort. The surface of the pillow and wedges is made with FloThru⢠technology to help prevent overheating.

Have you tried a baby positioner? You can adjust the width for the baby, but it has a foam wedge on either side to keep them on their back. There are a few different types out there.
Good Luck!

If you want to put your baby to sleep in 20 seconds you must get the "Instant Baby Sleep" MP3 sound track. Here is their official web-site: http://www.instantbabysleep.net
The sound track gently produces energy over the full human hearing spectrum with an embedded pulse that gently eases the brain to the Alpha state well known for drowsiness and sleep induction.

Have you tried a wedge. I am not for sure what they call it, I call it a wedge, you get them at Wal-mart and Target. You place the baby in it and keeps them from rolling over and in place. Its adjustable so a new born or bigger baby can use it. I have used one ever since my 4 month old was born. Good luck!!

I would buy an infant wedge. It's a special pillow that keeps your baby from rolling onto her tummy. You can lay her on her back, but it's best to lay her on her side. Here is a web link for an example. Check it out...

They sell sleeping cushions that the baby lays on and it has a wedge on both sides so they can't roll over I used them w/ both of my children and loved them. If you don't want to pay full price check out a couple of thrift stores.

Try putting something under the upper portion of the crib so as to create some gravity. I would have suggested tilting the crib from underneath from one side, but it seems that would only add to your problem. Also, call your doctor or local WIC office, they may have more suggestions. Good luck.

you could try having your baby sleeping in a smaller basinett or something like that as she won't have the room to roll over and it will teach sleep on her back. I believe its fisher price that makes a really nice one that we used for my little guy that vibrates and plays soothing music so it will be alot nicer for her and alot more comfortable.
