Newborn & Baby - March 2007

Just wondering on how much everyone's baby weighed and measured lengthwise at 8/9 months. Also, I would like to know what you feed/fed your baby for breakfast/lunch/dinner and the quantity for each feeding.

she is 6 weeks old, and ever since she was born she will not and refuses to sleep in her crib, she will only fall asleep in her carseat or if you holding her or sleeping with her, and i want her to sleep in her crib, i tryed swaddleing her tightly even in my shirts with my smell, after a bottle, and people tell me to put her in her crib and to let her cry, and i thought she had acid reflux but she doesnt, but she will cry for over an hour and i feel like a horrible mother, am i wrong for letting her cry in her crib, or is there something else i can do to help her sleep in her crib, and i dont let her fall asleep in my arms and then put her in i put her in there while she falls asleep..... any advice would help

His gums are white where the teeth are and he screams his head off most of the time if he dont have something cold in his mouth or dont get the tylenol ontime. What are some things to look for? Everyone is telling me the more he screams the closer he is getting to cutting a tooth. HELP PLEASE

My sister went into labor on Monday night around 8pm & was in labor until Tuesdya at 8:15pm, when my nephew was born, through emergency c-seaction. The babys heartbeat kept going up and down all day Tuesday while my sister was laboring. At 745pm it really went down, (to like 45-35). It was crazy like 14 doctors rushed into my sisters room and said they had to preform an emergency c-seation NOW, to save the baby. They took her to the operating room at 8:05pm & he was delivered at 8:15pm. When he was born he was not breathing, it took a lot to get the doctors to revive him. But finally they did. On his AP test he first scored between a 0-1,then @ 5 mins he scored a 2 & then at 10 mins he scored a 8. He was sent to the N.I.C.U, right away, my sister didnt even get to hold him.I just talked to her &see said he failed his hearing test, but that they are going to redo it again.She did say that they are going to put him into her rm tonight.I am looking for a good nickname,4 the lit' fighter

My 3 month old still wakes up every 3 hours to eat or just to get up and look around. He's already drinking 6 ounces of formula and I feel like he's just not getting full. I am a mother of 2 and I have a full time job and I need my sleep at night...What should I do?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

True Story: Friend of mine was breast feeding her oldest child. One weekend I went with her to visit her very large family. There were lots of folks there...aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandparents, and all seven of her brothers and sisters. The baby needed to be fed so she found an empty bedroom where she could nurse the child. I went with her so we could chat. Suddenly, the door opened and there stood her five year old nephew. He stared for a moment, his eyes wide. Finally he said "AUNTIE! WHAT are you doing?!" My friend answered him " I'm feeding the baby...this his how he gets his milk" The five year old turned in disgust and as he exited the room he announced, "where we live you can BUY milk!"

I stopped working, to study, and now I am at home taking care of my 13 months old daughter and taking online classes. My daughter wants to be held all the time. If I am not holding her she is crying and yelling and wont stop until I hold her. I haven't been able to study or do anything else in the house. When my husband gets home he gets mad because dinner is not ready. Any ideas on what to do????? Please help me!!!!! I am getting really frustrated.

My 13 month old daughter does not want to eat solids. All she wants is my breast. She does not want her bottle or sippy cups. I have tried sippy cups with straw and she does not want them either. She would not drink cow mild either. She stopped eating babyfood. She sleeps through the night in her own room but during the day all she wants is my breast and does not want to eat solids. Pleas help me!!!!!!!!

I would think it is not good to tan during pregnancy which I did not but my little girl is 5 days old now and I want to go tanning ONLY if it is safe. I am breastfeeding and wondering if the lights could damage or put anything bad into the milk? has anyone does this before or know the answer?
