He is using a walk-behind walker and is 11 months. I dont feel he has enough space here. He always bumps into stuff.

We love being outside. I will have to give it a try at the park on the sidewalk. All babies trying to walk deserve a close eye and hand to catch them. Thanks guys!

My daughter has just started using one too. I don't think that I would let her use it outside. Maybe you could try letting him use it on the grass, but then I doubt that he'd be able to push it. Better to just stick with using it in the house.

I let her use it out on the deck. I put up gates at the top of the stairs so she wouldn't fall off. I didnt let her use it on the ground because I was afraid she'd tip over. She loved being outside and the deck was a nice level ground for her to roll around in her walker.

I lived in a small mobile home with three children, so I had issues with space also. Fresh, outside air, plenty of space, Who wouldn't want to be outside? The grass will even help your "soon to be" toddler keep control of the walker. Have fun guys!!!

Sure.... just make sure it is safe. He can't get into the street, fall into ditch, off deck, etc. My house was small and mostly carpet. Mine always had a hard time on the carpet. We would go outside many times.
If it is a push-type walker just keep an eye on him.

yes I do but I make sure that there are no sticks or stones, or anything that can make the walker fall or suddenly stop, which would result in hurting your child!

Yes we have used them in the back yard or even down the side walk when they get sturdier.

ya.. just put shoes on the baby and stay with him to catch if he falls.. you don't want him to hurt his pretty face..
