depends how many you get in a pack, if you get about 28-32 id get about 3 packs of newborn until you know the weight of baby as newborn go up to 11 lb, NOT saying your going to have a big baby but babies do grow quickly in first few weeks, then go for the next size
good luck and congrats

I'm assuming that nappies and diapers are the same thing. I wouldn't buy a lot of them until the baby is born. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I bought a ton of the smallest size (Size 1), but when she was born, they were way too big. My daughter wasn't premature, but she only weighed 5 pounds. I had to go out and buy preemie diapers. I eventually used the size 1 diapers, but I would've saved money if I'd just waited until she was born.

I bought a ton of size 1 and actually started using them at 2 weeks. My husband tried to keep our son in newborns, but it was time for change.
My baby was 7lb10oz when he was born and the hopital sent us home with about 40 diapers and we went through 2 96 packs and then a 40pack or newborns then I switched him to size 1 a little too soon I think but we have a ton of them so migt as well use them!

I did this too. I bought 2 packs of new born. 3 of the next size and loads of the thirrd size as you know they will be in size three a while and you can hide them in the loft. When your baby reaches that weight. he/she will be old enough for you to leave for a bit. So you can take yourself off somewhere to get pampered with the money you saved. Good luck

I'm assuming nappies are diapers and if so.......
Don't go overboard with the tiny sizes, they outgrow those really quick.
Buy the bigger sizes like size 2,3. I wouldn't buy them any larger than that right now though.
Good Luck.

i would buy just newborn nappies and only buy newborns as you wont necessarily need anything else for a little while unless you are going to have a big baby

I would start by buying newborn at least one or two packs. I also bought a couple packs Pampers P-S preemie-small for babies up to 8-9lbs. My baby was 7lb-6oz and I had to use these for 2 weeks before newborn would fit.
