I dont really want to breast feed all the time (please dont judge.. its just a personal choice. i will if i have no other options) I was wondering if it was possible to mix formula milk with pumped breast milk? And is it bad for your breasts if you use a pump? I'm very young as you can probably tell and am scared to be a mom, so I have a lot of questions.

Hi! Here is my situation: I have a four month old boy (my first). I am engaged to his father and we live together, but we both work the night shift (12:30 am - 8:30 am). There's not much I can do about my job right now, but I'm thinking about future possibilities. My fiance sleeps the first 5 hours of the day time, I sleep the second 5 and while we work, the baby stays over one of his grandparents' houses.

I guess I have a couple of concerns with this, first, I worry that my baby will confuse me and his two grandmothers, since he is constantly sleeping in a different house, or that he will forget who I am since I can't sleep at night when he sleeps and I feel that I should be spending more time with him.

Second, there are times when I would love to take a nap on the couch while my son plays on the floor next to me, but I worry that I'm not keeping him entertained enough or that he's not learning enough. Do you think I should be concerned? Thank you!

I have an 11 month old daughter that has refused to take a pacifier or bottle of any kind. I want her weaned by her 1st birthday in one month. She is currently nursing 3-4 times aday basically when she gets up in the morning and before she sleeps. She is taking sippy cups but won't drink anything but water from them and never when she gets tired. She is on solid food.

Ok, so i have heard that it is bad to give your baby any citrus. Like Oranges, Lemons, Limes. But mostly Oranges. Anyway If you could answer that i heard it hurts their bellies. AND Is it normal not to start your baby on solids till they are 7 months? Isn't that a little old?

I am 32 weeks 3 days pregnant and have been on procardia every 4 hours for about 9 days now.(10mg) I've been looking up some info on it today (just got out of hospital yesterday) and found out it is class C drug. I am VERY upset right now that the hospital did not tell me this before I started taking it. I have had all my steroid treatments for my baby and they say he will be fine if he is born now. They are trying to postpone my labor for about 2 more weeks just to be a little safer. But is the procardia more dangerous for my baby or being born at 33 weeks?

A friend of mine just had a baby 6 weeks before it was due. She will be practically living at the hospital for several weeks until the baby is ready to come home. I'd like to put together a gift basket of items she might want and/or need that are specific to preemie babies and being a new mom. Does anything come to mind?

20 percentile for its age (in utero). She has not spoke to her doctor yet, but was wondering what that measurement may mean...the hospital was quite concerned but didn't tell her why.

My 8 month old grandson has failure to thrive because so many allergies and we learned that he doesn't convert tyramines to tyrosine. His intestines haven't worked right since a month after my daughter, who is breast-feeding him, ran out of the colostrum. He is very small and weak and doesn't even roll over... Because of his intestinal insufficiency, his body must push toxins out into the bloodstream and out through the skin--thus, he has severe eczema and is constantly itching.

We've tried just about everything. I considered bovine colostrum, but he's allergic to dairy and even goat's milk. I presume that he doesn't produce monomine oxidase, the eznyeme that converts tyramines to tyromines. Is there a way that he can produce monomine oxidase; since I believe they s can only be produced by the body?

I must add that he was born with a black circle the size and shape of a Jewish Yameka (did I say that right?). We could'nt figure out why; but now we see that it oozes blood sometime

My 3 month old nurses when we are together and gets almost all EBM while I work FT. He eats 6-8 oz every 3-4 hr while I'm gone. Lately he has been wanting to breastfeed actively for maybe 10-15 min but about every 2 hours. He then wants to stay on and suck/sleep and gets mad if I move him and sometimes won't settle till I start to BF again. He sleeps for about 8 hours at night and wets about 8 diapers a day. Is this just comfort nursing, is he not happy with the amount, or is he just making up for sleeping at night?

My 11mos. old baby fell from the ground while sleeping. The height of the bed from the ground is around 1 - 1.5ft. Albeit, it is not that deep but it still got me harried coz there's was this sort of loud thud when he fell. After the incident, i immediatley picked him up and abraisively kept on scanning his head for a contusion or a lump but by God's Mercy, nadir. I was planning to bring him to the hospital for brain scan but stifled coz it's too early. Was i right in holding with my decission? What are the most earliest symptoms with this kind of accident? Although he's apparently just doing great now.
