Honey he will cathch up on his own! I will say that going from 5.10 to 11.7 in a matter of 3 months would be pretty big. He has deffinately caught up. I would try and cut back to 4 oz every 3 hours....

sounds perfectly normal to me. My son was only 10 lbs at 3 months but he's skinny (15th percentile). so 11 lbs 7 oz doesn't sound heavy at all. Feed him when he's hungry, but it doesn't sound like you're over feeding him. I feed my 9 month old 40 oz a day which is almost double what you're "supposed" to feed, but that's what he needs and he's still skinny. As long as your not using a bottle to comfort him (feeding him everytime he starts to fuss even if he just ate) then you can't overfeed a 3 month old, they'll stop eating when they're full. Don't listen to people, everyone thinks they know a baby better than it's own mom, those people just have nothing better to do with their time, if you fed him less they'd tell you you were starving him. new moms can do no right.

That's normal maybe even a little small for a baby at that age. Talk to your doctor. Don't let people tell you that sort of crap. If your baby is healthy that is all you need. Feed the baby all it wants to eat and let those people who are telling you this mess hush.
My baby weighed 11 pounds 8 ounces when he was 6 weeks old. He was a nice big baby. Today he is 6' 4" and a nice man.
Baby 3 months old should weight from 10 to 16 pounds, depending on original birth weight. You child is on the low end of the weight chart.

You should feed that baby when he is hungry. A newborn needs to eat at least every 2-4hrs. And quite honestly 5oz at each feeding isn't too bad for a 3 month old. First, if he's not spitting up, and is active for a 3 month old and not lethargic, then you shouldn't have a problem. Boys tend to eat more than girls for the most part any way. If you feel you are over feeding him, then talk to your pediatrician at the baby's 4month check up and see what they say. Quite honestly though, if you aren't forcing it then I would say he's not being over fed.
(This may make you feel better as well.. my newborn daughter is almost 1month old and is eating 4oz every 2-3hrs. I feed her on demand.)

The best judge to tell you if you are overfeeding him is your baby he will let you know if he had enough or if he wants more he will cry or suck on his hand. Every baby is different mine is 2 months old and he drinks 4oz every 3 hours but sometimes he drinks 5 so I dont think you are overfeeding him

LOL! that is too funny! i think it must be a boy thing because my 3 month old son eats 6oz of formula every 3 hours and i have also had to start the rice cereal mixed with the formula right before bed! he is already in size 6-9 month clothes! lol!
you know what i'd say! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!! tell everyone to butt out and let you care for your child the way you feel is best. unless you are asking advice from them, they need to mind their own business and let you raise your son without having to hear the "you should do this" or the "don't do it that way" all the time! talk to your dr about it and see what he says. and next time someone says your over feeding your baby, tell them: "my dr says everything is fine, but thanks for sticking your nose in MY business!"
good luck and congrats!

I would check with your doctor. If he seems content and takes the amounts you give him with no problems, it's probably fine. However, if he seems fussy, doesn't sleep well, or spits up a lot after feedings, then that would be signs of overfeeding.

No, if he wants it then you are not overfeeding him. I would feed him whatever he wanted. That doesnt really sound like that much to me anyway.
