I am pregnant with my first child and have recently begun looking into travel systems. I understand the pros and cons of travel systems and am wondering if anyone can recommend a specific model that they liked. I have heard good and bad reports on the durability of Gracos and the models I looked at in the store seem to relay on a single plastic clip to hold the infant seat on the stroller. Pushing on the back of those infant seats tipped them easily. The Eddie Bauer adventure travel system had the clip in addition to a metal bar near the feet and seemed to hold the infant seat much better. I also liked that E.B. had metal buckles instead of plastic. Any thoughts or suggestions? I plan on having more children so I need something that will last.

I only take in 2-3 infants/babies in my home so that I am able to provide more personal care to the babies. I am open 5 days a week from 6am-6pm and live in California. I am Infant CPR trained and I am a mother of 3.What would be worth paying for this care if you were a mom or dad?

My daughter is 5 1/2 months oldand has started eating 3 solid food feeding a day.She is on stage 1 foods, and she has been doing great eating all her servings but what I want to know is how or when do they start stage 2 foods? Is it by age or by her finishing all her stage 1 foods with no problem? I have been following a feeding guide chart from similac but I checked on other websites and they are all different so I am confused when to switch her to stage 2? Soem say when she is sitting up on her own and others say by her age. Please help!!!!

It's just one procedure done on baby boys that they've been doing for many, many years. Billions and billions of men have been circumcised and are perfectly fine, all over the world. Yeah maybe it's painful at the time, but it lasts 10 minutes and then it's over and they have a life-long of benefits and self-confidence. It's a medical procedure, not mulilation. Thoughts on this controversial topic?

I exculsively breast feed my baby. She used to have a BM everyday, then when she was about 7 weeks old, she started going every other day, then sometimes every 3 or 4 days. The longest she has gone is 8 days. I massage her stomach every day, in hopes that she will become regular. My doctor told me to use a glycerine suppository, because this is just a stage that some babies go through. But I don't think it's normal to use a suppository to make her go. Does anybody else have the same problem?

My baby is moving on to "stage 2"- type foods. I've made my own baby food so far- fruits and veggies are easy- but I'm a little mystified as to how to prepare meats for her. Does anyone have experience with this? Any tips would be appreciated! Also, do you have any good ideas for flavor combinations? (ie, apples and chicken, etc.) Thanks!

My five month old is biting, it's so cute when she smiles, then OUCH. What to do? How long did you breast feed for?

Our daughter is 10 months old, and both my mother & my wife's mother say she's gone way too long. Even our Family Dr. thinks she should stop. We have a healthy, thriving little girl who is eating a variety of foods, but still enjoys getting breast milk. My wife also enjoys it, and even wants to try to continue night & morning feedings when she returns to work next month. I'm fully in support of what ever decision she makes, but people are starting to make us feel weird about this. Are we?

Is diahrea normal when a baby is teething? My son is 8 months old and has just cut his bottom two teeth. He has had diaharea for the past few days. He isn't running a fever and isn't acting like he doesn't feel good. He is just his normal happy baby self. He doesn't seem to be dehyrdrated, he has plenty of wet diapers and is eating just fine. The only problem he seems to have is the diaharea, so I was curious as to if this may be caused by his teething. Any advice?

My baby is almost 1 year. I think of a day care for her. But...I do not know what is best. Do they really take good care of babies or I should go with a babysitting, which I am not sure about neither - i've recently seen on TV a couple of home videos of a really bad treatment of babysitters. So, can you share your experience with me please.Thank you.

I have a stepson that borderline worthless. Moved in with us afew wks ago. He is almost 15 and still needs to be reminded to brush teeth, eat, intereact, go to school, do homework, basically everything but play video games and talk on the phone.
I dont know where to begin, My husband says "I got it",
but I doubt it. Its frustrating him too. Just want him straightened
out so my 11 month old can have positive young adult at home to look up to. Am I asking for too much?

Are these good names for my twins?
i'm having a boy and a girl. i couldn't decide on any names, so i let my 17 yo daughter pick them. this is what she chose:

Adam Cooper and Rylee Noelle (she says she'll be calling them Ryles and Coop)
i'll be calling them Adam and Rylee (Maybe Ryles as she gets older)

i really like them. i was just wondering if they are good names. I don't want them to hate their big sis because of their names when they are older. thanks for your input.

On the underside of my son's penis there's a line that looks just like a seam, almost like it was sewn up...

I know there's nothing wrong with it, he's never had any problems but I've never really seen other little boys so I'm wondering if they all look like this...
