if your sterile they don't come at all--unless you go to the pound and get yourself a pet.
But ... in the end ... Without daddies mommies could not have babies. So essentially they originally come form daddies--but without mommies there would be no daddies.
So this will be forever an open ended chicken and egg question my dear, accept to say that Billions of years ago it was likely the male that developed first to create sexual as opposed to asexual reproduction.

Mommy's have eggs, daddy's have the seed to fertilize the eggs in mommy's, the fertilized egg becomes a baby. Babies dont come from a mommy or daddy, they come from heaven!
