I took him to the doctor and they wrote out these drops that helped him so much. He didn't cry after giving him those drops. It was a prescription med not gas drops. Ask your doctor about them. I wish i could recall the name of them but that was like almost 6 years ago.

My oldest daughter had colic that lasted 5 months(it normally lasts about 3) She would start screaming about 5p.m. every evening and it would last about 4-5 hours. she would be bright red, and her hands would be clenched, and her stomach would be very hard, sometimes mylicon drops(for gas) would help, sometimes just walking around holding her, but usually I would have to drive around in the car with her in her car seat , until she finally fell asleep. Her colic was exhausting, but she grew out of it and became a very happy baby.

My eight year old had it real bad when she was a baby. She would cry for hours at a time for no appearent reason. Her legs would be pulled up to her chest, she would spit up, and cry like something was hurting her. It was a different cry than her hungry cry, or her tired cry. It was loud, and nothing we did would calm her down. We learned that she loved to be held facing outwards, looking around, with my arm around her stomach, bouncing gently. This relieved some of the pressure she was feeling. Also she liked to lay on my lap across my legs, face down. This way my legs produced a little pressure on her tummy and made it feel better too.

Yes for two terrible months. It started at the same time everyday, right around 4:30-5:00 pm. It couldn't be helped, we tried everything...Tylenol, even before we knew it was coming...gripe water...asking the paediatrician. It was hard, and stressful. However, it goes away...and your baby will be growing up like other little kids in no time.

Mine used to get it something terrible, the poor little scrap.
Legs pulled up to the chest, and a blue upper lip.

The hours I spent walking up and down with him over my arm. Kids, eh?
