Yes...Someone in our family had a baby with broken bones even in utero.

It's called Osteogenesis Imperfecta or OI for short....And also Brittle Bones...If this is what your looking for google brittle bones...It brings up alot of info.

There is also a Yahoo Group with parents and family. They have alot of great ideas.
And lot's of kids ect...Each have it on a lot of different levels...Sometimes they never even knew they had it until later in life.

During my niece's birth, the doctor broke her shoulder. She was a very big baby. It healed just fine.

I would think it impossible to be born with a broken bone, in that there's no way for them to break anything in the mother's womb.

But, certainly, a delivery can be rough (pulling and twisting), and something could happen then.

Yes, if they have problems coming through the birth canal they can break bones, sometimes doctors have to break a bone to get them out if they baby is stuck and they cant have a csection done.
