I know babys arent always on the same track as others, some progress more but I guess Im looking for.. statistics..
a few questions about ur little ones..

1. When did you baby start sitting up on his/her own?
(did you do any particular excersizes to help with muscles?)

2. When did you baby get the basics of moving his/her limbs?

3. How did your baby begin to crawl?
(any excersizes? did you prop his knees under his belly?)

4. Whats the best way to develope arm strength in order to crawl?

and just a sorta 'personal' question, how much did your baby weigh at 4 months?

My friend is weaning her son he is like 18 months old, kinda too far for me but of course its everyone's choice when they do it. Anyway, her method is telling him her breast is yucky, dirty and nasty to discourage his interest in it, which I think is the dumbest thing I ever heard! What a way to get a little boy started...thing is I dont have another suggestion for her, do you?

in order to keep my six month old from being constipated i have to feed her two servings of fruit and one of veggies a day all mixed with 2-3 tablespoons of prunes...it's all that has worked...i've tried: brown sugar in her bottle, karo syrup in her bottle, feeding her more fruits then veggies, i've tried everything and this is working great! BUT, we missed a feeding of the mixture and she became constipated and in order to fix it i put some food in her bottle with her formula because she was too fussy and impatient to eat it from a spoon, well now she won't finish her usual 6oz bottle of plain formula unless there's something in it, like baby food or juice.....HELP!!

My 5 month old son use to babble and coo. the past couple days all he does instead is scream. Not cry but scream, until his throat hurts and he coughs.. is this normal? i think its because his father yells a lot so he now thinks this is how to talk.

I am over 4 months postpartum with my second baby. I recently started having severe postpartum contractions again, and I've heard these should go away around 6 weeks postpartum!
If this matters, I am exclusively nursing and haven't gotten my period again yet.
Should I be worried? Thanks for your input...

The room really isn't that big, a changing table can fit but it will be kind of packed with the glider, crib, daybed, dresser etc. If I dont get one is it practical to have to change the baby on the daybed? Is there some kind of waterproof padding for this? (and not the small one that comes in a diaper bag)

My daughter is almost four months and she is breastfeeding every two hours. Sometimes during the night she will wake up every three hours instead of two to eat, it varies every feeding during the night. I thought that maybe she was ready to eat every three hours so I have tried to distract her when it is her usual time to eat, I could only distract her for about 10 minutes before I knew it was time to feed her. I am fine with feeding her every two hours, I was just curious as to when other babies starting going longer between feedings. Obviously every baby is different. She is 75% for her weight and head circumference and 90% for her height, so she is perfectly healthy. Just curious....

My baby is 3 months 3 weeks and weighs 15 lbs. I feed her bottles that contain both breast milk and formula. Her bottles average between 5.5 and 6 ozs.I nurse her in the morning and then she has between 4-5 bottles in the 24 hour period. She sleeps from 9-10 at night to whenver I wake her or 7-8 am. Is this too much? She was born at 8.4. and was slow to gain weight, but now she has really taken off since drinking more formula(low milk supply). I worry about this all the time.

hello, my daughter is 9 weeks old and is constipated, I have tried massageing her belly, putting her legs up tp her chest, prune and apple juice. Nothing seems to work. we went to the doctor's today. he didn't help much, he just told me to try the same things that I have already tried. I have even switched her to a low in iron formula, and that's not helping. I don't want to see her in pain anymore, any other suggestions.

He is 5 months old. We tried just 4 spoons of the apple baby food (jar) last night, then this afternoon also. He loved it and wanted to keep eating, but I stopped at 10 spoons. Now (it's night time again) he did not poop all day (!), he had a three wet diapers though. Is this normal?
