When I potty trained my son I started by taking him to the potty every 15 minutes. If he used it, then I'd wait about an hour or so. I did this for a couple of days, increasing the time each day by about 5 or 10 minutes. He was potty trained in less than a week.

My mom would put Cheerios in the toilet so my brother could shoot at them when he peed. He loved to do it and was very easy to potty train. She kept a little box of Cheerios in the bathroom for that purpose. I plan to do the same thing if I ever have a boy.
