Hey, I'm almost 11 weeks pregnant and i'm rhesus negative. I'm just a little nervous about the baby really. I know I have to have 2 shots of anti-d at 28 and 34 weeks. Anyone else been through this? How was it, was all ok? Thankyou x

I've been through it 3 times. I have A- blood.
1st pregnancy - I had the two shots during pregnancy and one after delivery b/c he was + blood type
2nd pregnancy - I had two shots during pregnancy and nothing after delivery b/c he was A- blood type
3rd pregnancy - I had two shots during pregnancy and nothing after delivery b/c she was O- blood type

I'm sitting here trying to remember though - if it is 2 shots during pregnancy. I only remember one for some reason???
And I just had my last child in Dec '06.......... Might want to check on that w/ your dr.
It's nothing to worry about really. I know I was all worked up when I found out I was w/ my first child - but once it was explained to me, I chilled out about it.
You'll be fine.
Good luck!

Relax...there is nothing to it. I am O-, and had to have the rhogam shots. You also need to know that if you have any bleeding during your pregnancy you need to have a shot of rhogam as well. You also get another shot within 72 hours after giving birth if after they test the baby to see if its a negative Or a positive. Relax...absolutely nothing at all to worry about.

What a complicated choice.
Read up on it.
I do reccomend taking the one after birth but am totally undecided on the prenatal one.
