My 11mos. old baby fell from the ground while sleeping. The height of the bed from the ground is around 1 - 1.5ft. Albeit, it is not that deep but it still got me harried coz there's was this sort of loud thud when he fell. After the incident, i immediatley picked him up and abraisively kept on scanning his head for a contusion or a lump but by God's Mercy, nadir. I was planning to bring him to the hospital for brain scan but stifled coz it's too early. Was i right in holding with my decission? What are the most earliest symptoms with this kind of accident? Although he's apparently just doing great now.

Call your doctor. Ok, that's first. Before you even read the rest of this message you should talk to your doctor.

Ok....waiting...

Alright, now that you've done that, you should also look for any bumps (which you did) or scratches. Things to watch for today include dizziness (is the baby having trouble sitting up straight) and any vomitting. If the baby start to throw up, back on the phone to the doctor (and probably in the car).

Observe your little guy closely today, and make a note of anything abnormal. At the end of the day check back in with the doctor and report your finding and see if they recommend any other procedures.

Good luck.

check his facial expressions and eyes.
a--are the pupils the exact same size ... shine a flashlight into each and see if the reaction is the same. Do the eyes still sit evenly in the head? These are just part of a neurological exam.
If he acts different at all--take him in. PS Don't ever abraisivly check anything on a baby--that's the doctors job--and they are most gentle with these little tots. they are very sensitive--so be less abraisive. maybe you are just using the wrong word. mayby u mean u gently but firmly felt the baby's head all over for any bumps or abraisions (bruises).
be careful how you word things: look at your first sentence after the bolded question ... Maybe edit your question so you'll get better answers.

the baby's body is so delicate so if there's an accident like that you dont need to wait for the symptoms go to the hospital and tell the doctor everything because the doctor know the best especially for baby's..

One of the first signs you want to watch for is if he is lethagic. Generallly if the fall causes a concusion the person will become very quite and want to sleep alot. I would say just keep an eye on him .

I would call the doctor's office and ask them. If the child starts vomiting or seems like he's not responding normally, then take him to the emergency room.
