I'm expecting identical twin girls but still need to settle on names.. We really like Tia, but are not sure what middle name goes well with this. We also like Darcie for the 2nd baby, but am worried that this also is a boys name and may create confusion where there is already going to be some (ie, which twin is which). What to others think? Also, what middle name goes well with Darcie?

Each time she is shirtless she grabs them, I am worried because we go around my family and she does it and they look at me funny! She's an only child and I am a singled mom, she doesn't go to daycare nor a sitter, so I doubt if someone is messing with her, but what could this be and how do I break it?

also, I work full-time and study part-time and my husband works full-time. what should someone earn in a month to be able to support a baby? What should i do if i want to have a baby? am i meant to see a gp before i conceive? what insurance should i look into? Is it hard to find a child care facility? I don't have family around. What are the responsibilities of being a mother?

Again, im 2 1/2 months pregnant and I dont ALWAYS look it.

Seems like when I wake in the morning, I look "average". Jus like I put on weight and need to tone up.

But by the middle of the day, i have a solid looking little baby belly.

Is it just because I have food in my stomach???

I breastfeed my 6 and a half month old, and give him a little baby food here and there but he's getting 2 more teeth on the top and barely nurses or eats AT ALL except in the morning lately, I'm afraid he's going to starve or that I'm going to stop making enough milk do you think he's okay? Is it normal for babies to have less of an appetite when they are teething? He hasn't really been too fussy, and no fever just chewing on everything so I dont know..

I'm looking to offer a layaway service for new baby furniture but do this thru our website. If you weren't able to come into a physical store to do this but online only..would you use this program? There's a 100% money back policy if you cancel & no cancellation fee! I appreciate your input on this.

I have been experimenting with stage 2 & 3 babyfoods. My son is 9mo and has 8 teeth. I would like him to eat the stage 3s because they are thicker and teaching him more about table foods. He will eat the stage 2 Turkey & Rice but not stage 3 because they add rice, but he will eat the greenbeans & rice with pieces of rice. He will not eat any of the main courses of stage 3 I dont know if he just doesnt like them what should I do?

My daughter has been exclusively breastfed now for 10 weeks (hopefully many more ahead!), and I'm not getting much family or friend support. My family thinks its weird that I want to keep breastfeeding, rather than just give up and give her formula. In fact, I have one cousin that lectures me about it constantly, saying my daughter needs supplements. (my daughter was a preemie and is gaining weight slowly vs. her 5 month old 30 pound son. Yes, it's true.)

Then last night, I was on the phone with a pregnant friend of mine, and she said that she was going to breast feed, but she thinks that I'm too tied down with my child so she's going to change her mind. I Don't feel tied down at all! I love what I'm doing for my daughter.

So, I guess my question is this...has anyone else been given a hard time over decision to breastfeed, or decisions period for baby? How do you get past it without turning into a lunatic and screaming at everyone? :)

I understand that breastfeeding is best for baby, but why are health professionals so single minded about it. I have recently had a baby and had heaps of problems with breastfeeding (cracked nipples, mastitis, low milk production, baby has sucking difficulties) but not once has any of the midwifes, doctors or lactation consultants ever suggested formula feeding. I have spoken to other mothers who have encountered the same thing, its almost like "formula" is a dirty word and you feel like a failure if you cant breastfeed successfully. Is there a reason for this? Has anyone encountered the same thing?

I called his pediatrician and she suggested pedialyte, but he is refusing it mostly, and only taking a few sips at a time. I also tried to give him his formula and nursery water? What should I do? This is his first time being sick. He's not crying, just sleeping and moody. Also, normally he's greedy and loves to eat but not now. Help

For the past week, my 1 month old daughter has been inconsolable during morning and afternoon waking periods. At first I thought it was just gas, but, Milicon isnt helping, I changed her to soy formula...not making a difference. From what Ive read about colic, the symptoms seem more severe. She sleeps okay, and has periods where she seems very content an happy, but these new scheduled fussy periods are very upsetting! These periods last about 2 hours and occur about 2-3 times daily. Any insight would be appreciated!

My 11 month old is cutting teeth. She drools so much that I'm constantly changing her shirt. I put bibs on her, but she has them soaked within minutes. I was just wondering why they drool like they do while teething?

I was just wondering how much and when are you supposed to swaddle a newborn? This might sound stupid but i thought you was supposed to pretty much keep them swaddled just not so tight around their hips but, my grandmother in-law says that your only supposed to swaddle them when they are sleeping. Anything will be helpful.

My friend has a 5 1/2 mth old lil girl who weighs less than 12 lbs. They recently found a lump on her back and had it checked by a dr. She has scoliosis and has 4 holes in her heart. If meds dont have any effect, they will have to do open heart surgery to repair atleast the larger of the holes, then they claim the other 3 will heal. Afterwards they say she will be very healthy and start gaining weight, be a normal child. Then they will deal with the scoliosis. In the meantime what can I do to try to help ease her mind or atleast give some kind of comfort?
