my cousin and i are going through hell to try and get her 6 month old boy to drink formula from a bottle. since she got her period back all her milk is going. he will not take a bottle, we have tried everything, like 100 different bottle tops, sippy cups, straws, spoon and he wont take anything, he is starving himself. the only way he will drink any if i hold him and walk around with him and force a bottle down his throat. even then he only has about 40ml before falling asleep in my arms his mum cant even do that, he just cries and cries in her arms, she is 24 and it would be fine for me to just keep feeding him till he will take it from his mum but im still at school so pretty much he goes from when he wakes up till 1.30 (my lunchtime) without a bottle and even when he gets it he hardly drinks any. we dont know what to do please please please help !!!

Hello

I am looking for some good information about SIDS prevention.
Some of the websites I looked at provide good information, but is missing fundamental facts, such when you should keep a babies room cool, it doesn't mention it not getting too cold.

Any good sites that would cover everything?

I've done tons of research, but I still want people's real experience. Though having a separate infant car seat seems more recommended, the Britax Roundabout gets such great reviews, and I plan on using a head/body support insert, such as the Snuzzler.

I wonder if separate infant car seats are recommended for the carrier convenience, but ince infants shouldn't be left in car seats to sleep, I won't ever take advantage of that feature. I'm ONLY concerned about safety/crash issues and nothing else. Thanks in advance for your input.

I gave birth to my son on 5th March and for his first day i fed him on my breast, that evening i gave him formula with the advice of the nurse as he was not settling. The next day he wasnt so keen on the breast and would only latch on for two mins hear and there. I was getting down feeling like i was a failure and as guests were coming to visit i didnt want to show my frustration so kept my son on formula. i tried again the next day and he latched on for about four mins here and there. i cant help feeling like i really didnt give myself or my son enough time and would still like to try breast feeding. At present i am leaking all the time and i'm wondering is it to late or can i still try and feed my son by breast? Any advice would be great.

When you started giving food to baby how long did you feed baby rice ceraeal before introducing fruits?what age did you start rice cereal? What fruit did you start with? For how long before introducing other fruits, and when can you go to veggies etc...My son is 4 months old and he stares at food and cries when he can smell food. I am strictly breastfeeding and I don't want to rush him into foods but he seems like he really wants it and he eats more than my friends formula fed baby! I'm a new mom and I just want the best for my boy, but I'm new to this.

We've just started trying to feed our baby the rice cereal recommended by our docter. She does not seem care for it at ALL! We've tried mixing Applesauce or bananas in with it. Is there any hope? Are there any other technics?

rolling over a week ago. I never put him on his tummy much because he spit up so bad. He really learned to roll over once we kind of showed him how within a few days. Is this time frame normal?

I have a 8.5 months old son, perfectly healthy. He is getting pretty upset when I put him down to sleep. He sleeps probably 7-8 hours at night with 5-7 sometimes more interruptions. He is above 97 percentile both for Height and Weight. This scares me also. He sleeps probably 2 more hours during the day in 2-3 episodes. Please help. First baby. He can't crawl well yet but keeps moving his hands and very strong. And he keeps asking for more food. Constantly hungry. Don't know what to do.
