I have a 8.5 months old son, perfectly healthy. He is getting pretty upset when I put him down to sleep. He sleeps probably 7-8 hours at night with 5-7 sometimes more interruptions. He is above 97 percentile both for Height and Weight. This scares me also. He sleeps probably 2 more hours during the day in 2-3 episodes. Please help. First baby. He can't crawl well yet but keeps moving his hands and very strong. And he keeps asking for more food. Constantly hungry. Don't know what to do.

Sounds like all BOY to me !!!!!!!!!!
Give him more. boys will eat till they pop. They will take as much as you will give. Give him something more substantial to eat that will fill him better. Don't study him so hard.. As long as all his digits, limbs, organs, are healthy. If he is eating playing, and happy he is fine. Don't compare him to all others he is himself.

He's a big boy! Congratulations. Maybe he needs more whole grain cereal to fill him up with fiber without giving him so many calories to grow on. Be sure to keep him away from sweets, and that includes fruit juice. Of course he's not crawling yet with all that growing he's been doing. Are you coming running every time he wakes? If so, you are re-inforcing a negative behavior. It will be hard, but you should try letting him cry himself back to sleep if you're sure he's dry and ok. Maybe white noise recording would help block out sudden noises that might be waking him and sooth him to sleep. Kids grow when they're asleep, so maybe it's a good thing he's not! Basically, relax and enjoy your healthy baby boy.

Yes! Start the medication now. You'll need ritalin to ensure that any sort of energetic behavior is destroyed. If you want to stop pretending, then feed him some sedatives and anti-psychotics.

In all seriousness, being hyperactive is not a concern at 8.5 months. As long as the kid looks and acts healthy things are golden.

The interruptions during his nigh time sleep is not normal. He should be sleeping through the night. Feed him food, not juice before putting him to bed. If he is still taking formula, take him off and put him on whole or skim milk (which has same food value without the fat). Also give him vitamins. A healthful diet is vital at this age.

i do no longer recognize why you think of he's hyper. He appears like a classic youngster to me. My daughter is 22 months previous and he or she would be able to no longer take a seat to computer screen television. She loves no longer something greater effective than to run around the abode and up and down the stairs and get into each thing. supply your son a heat tub and a cup of warmth milk previously mattress. turn off the television or music and turn down the lighting fixtures fixtures. study a e book with him and tell him it rather is incredibly much time for evening evening. in case you keep doing this he will are attentive to it's time to start settling down. study to him plenty and repeat what issues are. i'm continually telling my daughter Spoon or shirt or despite and he or she knows approximately one hundred words now. merely take the time to artwork with him some daily.

Feed him when he's hungry. Babies know when they're full and when they're not. He could be teething, that would make him restless at night, or he could be getting ready to have another growth spurt. Don't worry about the percentile thing. My daughter was a beast on that chart. She's fine.

He sounds healthy and wonderful. Hold him a lot. Sleep with him if you want - it's wonderful for them. If his height and weight are proportional, celebrate, don't be scared.
