rolling over a week ago. I never put him on his tummy much because he spit up so bad. He really learned to roll over once we kind of showed him how within a few days. Is this time frame normal?

23 weeks is almost 6 months, right? Babies tend to vary greatly in when they learn different things. They can even be very different within a single family. Here's a nice growth chart that shows some average ranges:

If the baby is able to roll over on his own, then that at least is within normal development. Most babies at around six months can also sit on their own. According to this chart, however, crawling is mastered between 9 and 12 months, so I wouldn't be too worried about that for now.

Babies do things on their own times. Something like not having alot of "tummy time" can really make a difference in crawling, so try to give him as much as you can.

If you ever feel that he really is starting to fall behind, just take him to the doctor. They can do some simple developmental tests to see how he's doing.

I wouldn't worry about it, I think 23 weeks (which isn't even 6 months yet) is a bit early for crawling, all the books I have read have said most babies start crawling between 7-8 months. Give him a bit more time, he will start crawling when he's ready to, ne may even skip crawling and go straight to walking. My boy didn't start crawling until 9 months and I thought it was a bit late, but our doctor said it was normal.

There is nothing developmentally wrong with your baby. All babies develop at different rates. My own daughter was two months premature and she did not crawl till about seven months. Tummy time is important for your son to develop his muscles. You can do it in short spurts but a lot of times a day if he does not like it. Give him toys he likes or lay down there with him to encourage him. Don't let anyone make you believe that he is slow or not developing right. Some babies do not crawl at all. They go from sitting up to walking pretty much. Give him time and he will crawl.

Each and every child is different in there development. They say that age because it is an average of different age groups tested. My four year old never crawled and went straight to walking at 10 months and my 8 month old is crawling and climbing all over everything. You never know. If you think their is a cause for concern talk to your pediatrician. Just be patient and supportive and love your baby that is what he needs most now.

Babies develope at different rates. My oldest didn't start crawling until she was about 8 months old, then she started walking only a month & a half later! Sometimes there can be a sparatic growth spurt, mentally or physically. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. Some babies are just a little more laid back than others. If you still are concern, just ask your pediatrician about it.

possibly that's gasoline and not constipation, toddlers digest very immediately and pooing as quickly as an afternoon is okay. attempt Mylacon (i think of thats the spelling) besides. 0.5 on the dropper will help and is secure to apply with each feeding. At 5 weeks, no longer something is rather secure to apply for constipation. you are able to constantly attempt a baby FLEET suppository, slit long techniques... yet provided that that's been some days you do no longer desire toddler to alter into depedant on that. mom of three Youngest is two months previous.

Babies do things in their own time frame. They usually don't crawl for a while. My son would just roll everywhere. It took him forever to crawl, 7 or so months old. He was "crawling" backwards for a long time. If you would like to encourage it, place his body in a crawling position. Just watch out so he doesn't face plant too hard. Babies don't seem to like that too much. I wonder why?

Some babies never crawl and just start walking. My first daughter never crawled and started cruising and then walking. My second one did a weird catapillar version of a crawl but only for a week and then started walking. Doctors do not look at crawling as a developmental milestone because many babies never crawl, so don't worry about it, it is totally normal!!
This link tells you about the stages of crawling and also about kids that never crawl.

Everything sounds normal to me. My little girl is going to be 7 months and is just now moving around, she isnt crawling yet, but she moves from one end of the room to the other by scooting! He is going to crawl no matter what and even if it isnt when other babies are, he will do it when he is ready!

Kids develop at a different pace. I wouldn't worry too much yet. If you reach a year and he's not doing so then you have a problem.

All kids walk, speak, and crawl all at different paces so if he's a bit slower to learn one of these its not a big deal at all.
